Does anybody know if EKT are likely to release a trading update sometime soon? I believe there was one this time last year.

Its not all bad news out there as this Money Week report helps those who feel the urge to panic and suggests any bad signs of impending doom and gloom could still be a long way ... away! especially if one is already holding a share that has now got its act together and its store in order.... hxxps://moneyweek.com/500207/the-us-booms-and-china-starts-spending-again-is-the-bear-market-over/?utm_campaign=money-morning-newsletter&;utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter

egg, Strange that the simon templar "bankrupt" ..."know it all" does not post here anymore. I suppose he is trying to get his failed court case into the European court of human rights , before we crash out of the EU. He has as much chance of putting the centre of the earths red hot fire out. From riches to rags ,thats a fact .

My apologies, I chose not to ask nico as he was too much a doom merchant with Italy and thought I'd get more sense from yourself. I'm just glad that one small holding of mine is not tanking!

rar100 I think this question should be directed to nico115 as it is he who has been going on and on about how Italy could have an effect on Elektrons exports not me. I agree with you ...

gtibruce, Please excuse my ignorance but how much of EKT's turnover is dependant on Italy? Even in a recession life goes on and some things still need purchasing to keep the country going, whether that's stuff from EKT I don't know.

nico115 This a copy of what John Stepek,Executive editor of MoneyWeek wrote last week.!? Italy’s bluff is not yet being called This week, Brussels said that Italy’s budget plans for 2019 were not acceptable. Italy wants to spend more money than it previously agreed. That breaks the rules. Indeed, it’s an “unprecedented” breach, according to the European Commission. We’re now likely to see the Excessive Deficit Procedure (EDP) put into action. That involves a closer look at the budget, and it also could result in fines. So it sounds serious. However, plenty of countries have broken the rules in the past and been subject to the EDP. Never once has this resulted in a country actually being fined. Equally, Italy’s leaders seemed far more open to compromise than they normally are. And so markets greeted the move with a big shrug. Italian bonds didn’t do very much at all. Let’s be clear: the Italian problem will continue for a long time from here. Italy’s problem is that it has a lot of debt and is unlikely to be able to grow rapidly enough to get rid of that debt (even if it does spend more money on trying to do so). Inflating its way out is also not really an option because it is part of the euro. Does that mean Italy is doomed to default? Not at all. As Jack Allen of Capital Economics points out, there are many ways in which the European Central Bank (ECB) could help Italy.

At present this is my best share, recovering strongly from Red October and maintaining the share price into which is now proving to be Red November. All other shares I hold have tanked and are still doing so.

"This opportunity in other sectors is evidenced by the recent adoption of Checkit by the Blood Sciences Department of Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. One of the largest in the UK, they now rely on Checkit to ensure that samples, reagents and equipment are kept under the correct conditions even while they are in transit. The initial roll out to almost fifty locations is nearing completion and there is potential to expand this to further departments and activities.

Well well, it just goes to show when you have your own hunch on how things can pan out despite the ignorance of certain doomters who deliberately ignore polite question asked sometimes better to go with ones own perspective!

Nico, what is your idea of long term? because a cycle could last over a decade and even you might not be around till then! Unless the government have no option but to bail us out on a no deal Brexit then surely another bit of good company news would break it through to over 40p Even then, the company have taken into consideration a no deal plan ...?
