06/11/2002 10:34 | Could have implications for BAY. Terror on Concorde as jet plunges 27,000ft An Air France Concorde developed engine trouble during a flight from New York to Paris and plunged 27,000 feet. Air France says one of the plane's four engines began to malfunction as it crossed the Atlantic on Monday. The pilot shut down the troubled engine and descended from 60,000 feet to 33,000 feet and slowed to subsonic speed. The pilot continued the flight using the plane's three remaining engines, an Air France official says. None of the 67 passengers on board were injured, the official says. The cause of the engine trouble is not immediately known. A passenger on the flight, Amar Belgacem, says the plane plunged fast and passengers panicked. "All the plates, glasses, all the food crashed to the ground," Belgacem told France-2 television. "We grabbed onto our neighbours... everyone was saying prayers. I had the fright of my life." | supertourer
06/11/2002 10:28 | forwood - premature again!! ;-)) razorgirl - 4200 may well prove a problem, but the early morning effort was fairly pathetic. Wouldn't be surprised if it has another go later. Prepared to wait. rich - aye. Noted. Late US rally may well follow through. Only 2 positions at present. Looking at others if pullback continues. BARC looking poorest, but short term o/s. | big al 39

06/11/2002 09:34 | Yes I know. And it wasn't the only one in ISYS but more generally, with the P trades it suggests an institution adjusting its portfolio, perhaps agreed deals with other institutions. So rather than selling in open market, you find buyers prepared to take on your stock. Mind, am not an expert in such matters. | forwood |
