any chance of a momentary rising blip on the back of possible orders for ECM's USA arm Allied elec after the hurricane season???

mroalan, agree with you on analysts, but these are not analysts - they are fund managers who invest billions for investors. they have to be responsible with investors money. i see franklin templeton have increased again, to 6.33%. what do they see that you dont?

correct. i am easily more of a taurus than a paddington. to summise: the ECM service offer is market and world leading, and because of this are able to maintain stupid margins. problem: the UK market place is changing particularly in OEM sector who account for most of ECM's historic account base. solution: ECM will have to adapt. how long will this take? how long is a piece of string. twice as long as half its length!

i expect this stock not to crash but to fall short term - but still remain confident in the long.

bellyboy, what catches my attention is your assertion, in spite of being a bear, that "the business model has and always will be very strong". this is a very bullish comment. we know there are short-term problems, but if "the business model always will be very strong", that suggests that the problems are likely only to be short-term and supports managements statements and reasons for maintaining the dividend. regards, botman

point taken, i suppose i lay in the observational camp rather than the trading camp per se. just my humble opinion talking to some people who work there.

botman, i agree. a fall to below 200 would be a big move. as would a rise back above 300 ;)

collection agency, mr o alan,

do you know better than deutsche and silchester who apparently have increased the stakes?

Hi M! Your view is always much appreciated. Thank you.
From today's RNS, it looks like the largest shareholder Silchester has increased their holding from previous 13.91% to 15.26%. A vote of confidence?

bot_man/botman/botman 2/botman forever/botman returns whichever you are logged in as at the moment:

i'm being a bottler on this one. contrary to my views i'm not gonna go short as once bitten twice shy. but will certainly be keeping an eye and will be more +ive when it breaks the £2 barrier.
