The market appears to disagree with that sentiment. A trading update was released on 25th January last year which (hopefully) will be revealing, either good or bad.

But the market is tiny and difficult to capitalise on... they have tiny margins as it is without having to invest in visualisation software. Which frankly I'm not sure will influence customers in making a buying decision. Sorry to put a sour tone on this but I struggle to see how this "news" has even been released, purely a story that drives speculation with little substance for investors to digest.

Got to remember too, that Elecosoft's USPs are that both Esign & Active Online have spent years creating substantial databases of Ultra-HD graphics, covering floors, carpets, fabrics, soft furnishings, etc.

It's almost impossible for any other company to get hold of this type of data, nevermind try to replicate it quickly. Also the AI is pretty clever, and wouldn't be easy to copy either

A lot of fluffy buzz words and very little proof of profit! It's a nice bit of kit but Elecosoft paid £3m for Active Online... where is the profit.

Extract from Interim Results announcement:

[In the first half of this year, Active Online and E-Sign have jointly exhibited at key trade fairs Bau and Domotex and have integrated key product sets for a customer offering that leverages the synergies of both companies' technologies. They have successfully acquired joint customers in the first half of the year for this combined product offering. Additionally both companies have acquired new customers across North America]

Alright moody. Spoiling my fun 😀.
Only messing appreciate your input.

I think we have to agree that all flooring suppliers need this type of technology going forward. Elco can be part of that trend.
I say give it away for free and be the software if choice. Then charge later down the line.

I think this needs to be put into perspective and measured against the businesses actual strategy. Software such as this ‘AI’ tool will not increase the ability to meaningfully drive ‘cross-sell217;.

Consider Vectorworks: hxxps://designsoftwaresolutions.co.uk/ (a Nemetschek company), this visualisation software is embedded in technology utilised throughout design phase. This is an aesthetic tool (similar to what Ikea already offer...).

To make matters worse, Active Online and Esign seem incapable of turning a profit (check out the accounts filed in Germany!). Hmmm...

I love the internet for things just like that. Haha.
Good start to the year for ELCO!

EquityDec.

Wow that looks great! Far far better than imagined it would look.
That has incredible potential surely. What flooring co. wouldn't want that software?? Plus, in time, it'll be applicable to other surfaces and industries.
Hmmm yes I'm impressed with that. Appreciate the the link to you tweet.

Agreed. Indeed can you spot which of the 2 pictures of my lounge is the real one vs the mockup that’s been created using ESign’s new AI software tool? One floor covered with carpet & the other using wood.

BTW, I did this mockup is less then 2 mins, illustrating how just simple the whole process is. Apart from floorings, the next step is to add soft furnishings, wallpaper, sofas et al, along with their costs/discounts to give direct power to both retailers & consumers alike

'and can also be integrated into online stores and e-commerce platforms'

Great stuff. Elecosoft should be able to licence this AI software out.

With steady, persistent selling over the last couple of weeks, am scratching my head as to why the share price has been rock solid and even risen slightly today.

Is anyone concerned about the trailing twelve month earnings showing a decline in organic revenue? Concerned about how this will pan out at year end, especially with falling revenue is Sweden for the last couple of years.

With the Brexit 'pantomime' looking as though it's going to bore the pants off us for the foreseeable future no matter what the result of the forthcoming election turns out to be, it's worth remembering what the chairman wrote in the Annual Report:

Brexit

'As a Group, Elecosoft finds itself in the enviable position to be able to mitigate any uncertainty by continuing to refine the cash management strategies started in the period leading up to the Referendum on 23 June 2016.

Since this period, we have actively managed our revenue streams and local income and expenditures within and without the EU to ensure there is adequate cash generated and held in these regions.

This spread of business with local income and expenditures creates a natural hedge to volatility and uncertainty and while closely monitored we have yet to undertake any additional actions outside the normal course of business.'

Add to that the fact that 63% of turnover was generated abroad in 2018 makes Elecosoft (imo) a solid investment in anyone's portfolio.

Header data now up-to-date. Surprised to find that non-exec P Karlsson has become a shareholder as I thought that 'Aim Rules and Regs' necessitated a RNS whenever a director dealt in that company's shares (although I have to admit at not being au fait with any recent changes); none has been forthcoming.

Although the overall take-up of the scrip dividend shares on offer was 45.7%, encouragingly I make the company directors' take-up as 88.5%.

Nice to see a little bit of buying interest, I still firmly believe this will be a prime takeout candidate in the next year......just remember those Equity Development valuation metrics.
