Only effective if the price recovers - and as you've said, the evil market forces will conspire to move Eden higher... therefore a no brainer..... the questions is do we trade 6 pence (or lower) anytime soon ?

Index funds are weighted according to company market cap. Therefore as the share price of an individual company falls institutions will sell and vice versa. This will have led to a reduction in holdings of Eden.
