supwe & investing - Note: There are thousands of companies that offer "investing potential" If one has to search too hard for data the target will drop below the radar and hence be lost. That said too much "puffery" can lead potential investors into loss making positions- In all cases however Completed DD & DYOR including where possible talking to users is critical. Still watching but not yet buying.

Super,

I cannot disagree with your retort other than Powerscourt say everything starts at the website and that is the first place investors should go (Eden specific) and so this should at least be followed through for those less knowledgeable or 'serious' than perhaps the likes of you and me.

I appreciate your point Investing and it would be good to have all the info in one place but a serious investor should have done multiple internet searches and found the videos and read these boards as a starting point. Having not done so would be negligent.

So it could be argued that with the ease at which info can be found spending £200 is unnecessary and a little digging around never hurt anyone..did it??

Subsequent to my posts 3599 and 3609 and AttyG's post 3634 in regards to the recent Company communications.

I slightly disagree with AttyG about the Proactive film. As I previously mentioned, I think the London Live film was very well structured, simple to understand and a theme easy to buy into. It was underscored by wine farmers too. The Proactive film saw Sean come across relaxed and well, but the order of delivery of subject within the film was all over the place and didn't follow logical steps as with London Live.

Notwithstanding this and assuming that Michael Walters, Powerscourt and Shore Capital have circulated or pointed their contacts to these two films, why don't Eden 'RNS Reach' the same with some written commentary on the Company from the newly appointed Chairman. An RNS Reach for anyone who may not know, permits a company to promote itself via this medium and hence distinguishes such communication from regulatory RNS's. Clearly the term 'RNS Reach' is to reach out to your investor base, both invested and non-invested.

Having been so very quiet on the communications and media front, to me, this would be a logical and sensible thing to do for the sake of around £200. Links to both films can be embedded in the Company's website and as such, the RNS Reach can direct investors to the Company's website to view the same. We are told that the Company website is the first point of reference for investors and so this would all tie in nicely.

If the Company or Powerscourt are reading this, perhaps they may consider the same.

Can not agriculture be done without millions of kilos of chemicals?

One calls it 'poison', the other a 'protective device': every year Dutch agriculture uses millions of kilograms of chemicals. Can not we do without?
It is not a question for Peter Jens. Of course, he says, it is possible to produce food without the use of chemical pesticides. "But I am a kind of air cyclist," he says immediately. "I am well ahead of the troops." Jens works for Koppert, a company that sells biological crop protection products: mites, bacteria and fungi, which are a natural enemy for pests and diseases. He is also involved in the development of new organic products that growers can use in the future.

As obvious as it is for Jens that agriculture and horticulture do not have to be inseparable from chemistry, it is not for everyone. In debate center De Rode Hoed in Amsterdam next Tuesdafood production without chemistry? This question arises now that, for example, there is a strong dispute about a substance such as glyphosate. This has been the most used pesticide in the world for years, but it is disastrous for bees. At the end of last year it was decided that the use of the product is also permitted in Europe for the next five years. That while according to some studies it is dangerous for people who work with it. According to environmental organizations, the admission of glyphosate is a victory for large chemical companies that only pay attention to their profits and not to the environment.
The extension of the glyphosate use also fits in well with the ambitions of the Dutch government. It formulated a 'Food Agenda' in 2016, with the ambition of becoming the leader in Europe in sustainable food production. The Netherlands is trying to get other countries involved, for example by having the European agriculture ministers adopt a plan to promote the use of non-chemical plant protection products. The Netherlands strives for the leading position in this respect: relatively the lowest use of plant protection products in the entire EU.

According to Peter Jens, it is not the question whether we are going to an agriculture without chemistry, but rather how and at what speed this can go. The government wants it, the makers of plant protection products too. "I notice that more and more parties argue: biological resources where possible, chemical only where necessary."
Ill production system
The non-use of chemicals is the daily practice for Jan Huijgen, organic farmer in Bunschoten. "Those who are healthy do not need medication," he says. What then means that pesticides are part of the standard equipment of the conventional farmer? "Apparently we think the production system is sick."

And yet, says Huijgen, he finds the question of whether or not agriculture without chemistry can not be very interesting. Huijgen takes a look at his cows standing at the feeding fence. There are sixty, meat cows of the Blonde d'Aquitaine breed. "But if you translate the question to: can a farmer leave the existing agricultural system and be part of a socially healthy food system, it will become more exciting. I think that's possible. Now farmers are being milked, they are in survival mode. While they can mean so much for the landscape, nature and society. "

Huijgen himself does this by producing his organic meat, by allowing flowers to grow on every corner of his yard, by keeping a bee population. To finance his working method, Huijgen did not look at the bank but at citizens: he succeeded in getting a hundred people to participate in his farm for a thousand euros. That proves, he says, that a different way of producing food - which goes beyond just 'no chemistry' - is actually possible.
Yet, inevitably, the question is inevitably asked: who will pay that? Peter Jens: "Farmers must row with the belts they have to earn a good living. You can not deny farmers and market gardeners any measures that could save their crops. "

Independent
How farmers can work more sustainably without losing money, the Ministry of Agriculture is investigating by Wageningen University. The wish is that in 2030 Dutch agriculture and horticulture will function as independently as possible of pesticides. But: at the moment, for example, the onions sector can not prevent spoilage at all without means. It is precisely thanks to chemistry that Dutch onions can be stored for a long time and therefore can be exported worldwide. That provides good money.
Jan Huijgen wonders whether we should carry food around the world. "Now 95 percent of our food comes from all over the world, 5 percent from the region. Why can not 20 or 30 percent come from the region? And if citizens invest directly in farmers and buy food without the intervention of a large supermarket, the farmer gets a better price. Now everyone earns from food except the farmer himself. Do you find it crazy that the soil is emaciated, that the insects disappear? "

Inserted;

Eden Research now has approval for Mevalone (3AEY) in Albania for the treatment of botrytis on grapes and greenhouse aubergines, kiwis, pomegranates and fresh onions.

I have not found any references to Mevalone being used in Holland, I assume it's on the to-do list.

.......................................................................................................................................................

Peter Jens sees another possibility to finance sustainable farmers financially. "Offer them insurance against unforeseen large pests and plague damage. And let customers, such as supermarket chains, be so strong to pay the premium. "
In Bunschoten, Jan Huijgen walks from the cowshed to a pasture where a pair of Jacob's sheep walk, adorned with huge horns. Fine warm scarves can be made from the wool - also a source of income. Yes, says Huijgen, he is a man of ideals. But he tries to realize that ideal of a socially healthy food system very seriously. Because he can not do this on his own, he took the initiative two years ago to come to a covenant where farmers, political and social organizations work together on a way of farming that fully respects the climate, nature and animal welfare, and a fair price. Where there is hardly any room for chemistry. Farmer Hans Huijbers, Minister Ploumen (international trade and development cooperation) and State Secretary Van Dam (agriculture) came in person to put their signature in Bunschoten. But ultimately, says Huijgen, the key lies with the consumer. "Citizens need to know what they eat and what impact this has on their health and their environment. And what the real price is. If we really appreciate our food, it will benefit the farmer and nature. "

Debate

On the question of whether it is possible to grow food without using chemical pesticides, there will be a discussion evening on Tuesday evening in the debate series 'It's the food my friend'. In the Rode Hoed in Amsterdam, three scientists speak: Michel Haring (Professor of the University of Amsterdam) about the meaning of new techniques for breeding and crop protection for the agricultural system, Corné Pieterse (professor Utrecht University) about the application of knowledge of the microbiome ( the life of micro-organisms) in soil and plants, and Johanna Fink-Gremmels (professor Utrecht University) about our knowledge of the microbiome for animals and humans. Time: 20.00. Entrance tickets via www.rodehoed.nl

"Eden Revenue forecasts for 2018 are £3.1m / 2019 = £4m / 2020 = £5.7m"

I think these were last year's forecasts:

Although I have not read the latest Shore cap note, the previous ones did not include any income from any of TT or Bayer, nor milestones, if I recall correctly.
I think the shore capital projections are absolute minimums.
I expect more revenue and a profit

Super,

And a cash burn rate of £1.4 million!

Anyone know if the London Live film is going on the Eden website for them to circulate?

Proactive normally provide a link to embed so I'm assuming they've arranged that.

Eden Research - EDEN
Addressable market all well and good, but when are they going to start profitably addressing it...!? Market seems determined to push it down to a five year low at 7p. It maybe that that is where it needs to start its resurrection.
...........................................................................

Brucie5,

Certainly share price is depressing.. SCap Forecast figures show that they anticipate solid sales growth 'in the coming years'.

Eden Revenue forecasts for 2018 are £3.1m / 2019 = £4m / 2020 = £5.7m

So if they maintain the £1.4m cash burn rate then 2018 is looking good.

Would you agree with that AttyG?
