Small-scale farms 'would solve' environment crisis, group says.

New report from @DaveGoulson for Food Research Collaboration. "Small-scale farms 'would solve' environment crisis." Redirect a chunk of the ca £5Bn English farm subsidies and tax breaks - towards agroecology.

Not sure of the workings of the Patent list but it's movements are worth noting imo as it maybe one way of gauging what lurks below the water line on the Edenberg.

This Patent moves to Number 1 slot displacing the 1964 Patent I have mentioned before. Both may well be SustainE related imo.

ENDURA SPA [IT]; SIPCAM SPA

A METHOD FOR MODULATING THE RELEASE RATE OF MICROENCAPSULATED ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

This latest study clears shows that glyphosate causes cancer at levels lower than permitted by regulators. Andre Leu

Glyphosate induces benign monoclonal gammopathy and promotes multiple myeloma progression in mice

Conclusions
Our data provide in vivo evidence to support that glyphosate induces MGUS and promotes disease progression to MM. We uncover a B cell-specific mutational mechanism for glyphosate exposure that increases MM and NHL risk, providing a molecular basis for human epidemiological findings. Given the increasing use of glyphosate in the USA and worldwide, the present study supports epidemiological reports and informs the EPA and other agencies during the regulatory development of current and emerging glyphosate-based herbicidal products.

NoPest seeks alternatives to traditional pesticides

The European project NoPest -in which researchers from the University of La Rioja participate- will develop sustainable alternatives to the use of traditional pesticides against crop diseases, mainly downy mildew on grapes and potatoes.

Started in January 2019, the NoPest project (Novel Pesticides for a Sustainable Agriculture) is part of the 'Future and Emerging Technologies Open' program (Horizon 2020) of the European Union and has a financing of more than three million euros for its five years of expected duration.

In the international consortium - which has recently met at the University of La Rioja - the University of Milan (Italy), responsible for the coordination of the project, also participates; the Kungliga Tekniska Hoegskolan (Sweden), the Universite Paris-Sud (France) and the Bar Ilan University (Israel), together with the multinational company Sipcam Oxon.

The international team of scientists proposes the use of organic compounds that prevent the development of the fungi that cause some of the main diseases in agriculture, such as mildew. The new fungicides will be obtained from proteins capable of recognizing and interacting with specific target molecules. In this case, they will inhibit the action of enzymes involved in the formation of the cell wall of fungi, destroying them.

These products, designed and optimized in the laboratory, would replace the traditional phytosanitary products used to combat mildew (copper and other chemical compounds), whose massive use causes pollution, residual toxicity and adverse effects on human health. The project will thus contribute to a safer and more respectful agriculture with the environment.

The professor of Viticulture of Precision of the University of La Rioja, Javier Tardáguila, emphasizes that 'the compounds obtained will be combined with tools of precision agriculture, designing technologies and innovative tools to monitor the incidence of diseases and ensuring the proper functioning of this new generation of phytosanitary products'.

Tardáguila coordinates the scientists of the University of La Rioja involved in the project, belonging to the research group Televitis (specialized in new technologies and non-invasive sensors in viticulture), the Engineering Department (experts in environmental impact assessment) and the Department of Economy (responsible for the analysis of the economic and social impact of the new phytosanitary products).

Virginia Grape Disease Updates

Of course, once I mentioned the lack of rainfall, we (i.e., northern VA) were hit by a series of rain. To make things more complicated, we had at least three consecutive nights of warm and humid (RH > 90%) condition prior to the rains. Humid nights encourage downy mildew pathogen to produce spores, and rains will splash spores to healthy tissues. Thus, the risk of downy mildew during recent rain events was very high. (Note: Central VA also had two humid nights in 7/5-7/6 at the Charlottesville airport, but the chance of rain is not high until this Thursday.)

Investing.

I care about TT as it has huge potential as does CAP imo. We don't yet know the real reason for the delays so until then we await news on the actual value of the prize.

Super, that RNS is nearly 4 years ago.

Do we even care about TT now?

Do we even know the size of the prize with TT?

Is it material?

All we've heard is Head lice and maybe some deodorant.

It's really all about crop protection isn't it. This is where Eden is going to be noticed now and during the next few years.

This is where someone may take a new/further stake in Eden or hopefully take them out because of the applications and benefits of Sustaine.

>>will they stick to the timeframe (to launch nit treatment GB) ? That would be a first SS

- they would be thought badly of (TerpenTech, the marketing partner) if they delayed again, marketing launch was due September then January, delayed twice, the second delay I know because Sean said it, was due to TT not due to Eden, and I think the first was too. If they delayed again, there's already a cumulative year's delay since "back to school 2018" (September 2018), we'll all be really naffed off with TT. Useless marketing partner if they delay again

Of the top of my head The Pesticide Action network maybe worth contacting regarding your question. Below are links to two other people who have been influential to me in the same way Zach Bush has been recently. There maybe details within their work and those they interview that helps you with your project.

Eden Tweet Master.

Farmers often don't understand the full impact chemistry they use and are often locked in to a chemical dependency that reinforce the large-scale model. Those who sell them the Pesticides have used non peer reviewed science and Corporate secrecy to hide the systemic toxicity these substances have on all living creatures. The Peer reviewed science shows as we have had a peek of via Glyphosate discovery documents shows the ugly side of the war on ecology. The very fact that these substances are not properly tested for the effects of combined effects or that the formulation solution is not tested with the active ingredient shows just how dulled the checks and balances have become to real scrutiny.

Vegans generally don't understand farming and imo are often emotionally reacting to what they perceive as being the horrors of industrial agriculture and don't make distinctions or understand different welfare models . They don't have a strong enough understanding of the nutritional dynamics of their diet or a detailed knowledge of farming inputs and outputs. The growth in Veganism is only possible and encouraged and marketed because it does not disrupt the industrial model and it's chemical dependence . If there was a movement towards Mob Grassed Grass fed Meat which does not fit the industrial model I doubt it would be marketed and promoted quite so enthusiastically by the industry. Veganism fits like a glove.

These two groups as seen in the DavidButler84/ Chris Packam Tweet that Eden re tweeted are part of a team sports political battle. Both sides rarely sit down and talk to each other instead they rage and bicker on twitter . Both sides would benefit form listening to the informed words Zach Bush and Joel Salatin.

Eden.. you should take care how you Tweet as both sides of this debate are blind or dismissive to the real crisis we face. Both sides are entrenched in their own Dogma despite how many wild flower margins they plant or Local community run Vegan Cafes they support.

A Biopesticide company in a Sustainability Mega trend Looks ill-informed if it ways in on one side of an argument between two systems where both are equally reliant on conventional chemistry. It is especially poor judgement when the one of those in the exchange (Chris Packham) which Eden look to be taking sides against has 339k Twitter followers and is a popular TV personality. Eden is poor at PR it does not need to involve itself in such partisan exchanges.

Best to stay neutral and tactfully just tell us how Eden tech helps reduce the harmful impact of Green Revolution chemistry on both without shaming your corporate pals.

Best to avoid team sports Tweets imo.

Super,

What is interesting is we know Sipcam is assessing Sustaine for existing stand-alone pesticides as well as blending with Eden's AI's.

Does Eden have a conscience and morality barometer if and when they facilitate the former and the continued use of a pesticide?

So the questions for me are.

Will they stick to the Time frame? That will be a first..

Will we see Supersonico parallel delay prediction burn or Shine.

If We do see Parallel delay confirmed what will that do to share price as it means Big picture announcement for both TT Partner and Bayer, which could well be Sumitomo flavoured given the deals that were done in 2014/5

If the nit treatment is to launch in September 2019 as the marketing partner previously promised, as announced by Sean the CEO at the pro active investors Eden event early in the spring, then there ought to be an RNS about the marketing channels and arrangements at some stage not too far away
