Valid point sapphire, easyjet nicking packages from Jet2 quite possibly affecting the balance.

I rather suspect that Jet2 holidays will be suffering because of the huge growth in easyJet holidays. Certainly easyjet are more urgently trying to add beds in Southern Spain where I work in hospitality. easyJet have been trying to add 15% to contract levels with us but they won't be getting all of that.
easyJet were at 70% sold for summer 24 a week ago so well ahead of Jet2.
It's important to understand the dynamic. Jet2 has 70% of seats for packages. easyJet last year had 4%. This year it will be 6-8%.
We as a hotel chain across Southern Europe are 16% above last year on bookings from now to Christmas. This whilst 12% up on pricing.

Jet2 gave a trading update this morning and was generally good and in line with expectations but they were a uncertain about the period ahead. They are prudent management I think but this was the paragraph that troubled me a bit, could pricing get tighter perhaps. They also said flight only was up more than packages:-

'.......In summary, we are pleased with our progress for FY25 to date although as ever, we remain mindful of the current macro-economic and geo-political environments and how these may impact future consumer spending. Consequently, and with over 40% of Summer 2024 and the majority of Winter 2024/2025 seasons still to sell, it is too early to provide guidance as to Group profitability for FY25'

Still looks very lean at £6.70. They are not looking at the bigger picture.
A historic retaliation against Israeli aggression and media nonsense and still it dropped just 10%. That demonstrates the risk/reward on this share has massive headroom.
£6 will fall quickly and there will be a flurry of more realistic upgrades.
