31/3/2017 14:04 | Yes - received in post (when they delisted my broker insisted I take them in certificated form). | sharw
31/3/2017 13:13 | Has anyone received their dividend yet? My broker tells me that it hasn't arrived but I thought it was due to be paid today. | ansc
07/3/2017 14:18 | Current sp, according to J P Jenkins, is 7.0p. I didn't bother to check if there had been any trades during the past 12 months. | ansc
07/3/2017 11:51 | Thanks ansc. I make the NAV at balance sheet date 6.0p/share. The disposal of the properties continues to drag on and on but at least there has been a disposal of part of property 1 and the two industrial rental sites resulting in a dividend of 1.1p to be paid on 31 March 2017. | sharw
06/3/2017 19:21 | For shareholders interested, the company's 2016 results are available on their website. | ansc
08/3/2016 12:40 | strange that they write down the value by £2.1m when the land prices are rising, also why has it taken so long to get planning approval? on the plus side the board have stated that property sale proceeds will be returned to shareholders via a dividend during second half. | jamrol
07/3/2016 15:53 | Results published today: All rather underwhelming - we can go back to sleep for a while. NAV has reduced by 13.6% mainly due to properties being revalued downwards. | sharw
18/1/2016 10:52 | Email response (from the co sec) to my annual question: 'The annual accounts will be published around a similar time to last year’s and will be on the website around 7 March 2016.' | ansc
02/9/2015 14:17 | yes however I suspect the land to be sold off and 'costs/admin/fees' to eat into any possible share holder returns. It's a crime that whilst trading and salaries are being paid those that invested originally are ignored. | jamrol
12/8/2015 16:46 | jamrol - that article was dated February of last year. Things have moved on since then. You will have read the last annual report and I take it that the site is either "property 3" or "property 4" of that report. More recent comments here: | sharw
12/8/2015 13:30 | Sad but interesting. Thanks for sharing jamrol. | glynedwards
10/7/2015 08:36 | 'Automatic planning permission would be granted on many brownfield sites in England in an attempt to boost house-building, under government plans.' Whoever's in charge of Dyson's Property Portfolio please take note! It's nearly four years ago that the company signed a 'five year planning and promotion agreement' with St Modwen Developments Ltd [for five propertied] so you would have hoped something would be happening by now. But then, would they deem it necessary to let us, as co-owners, know if anything had been sold? Doubtful. | ansc
13/6/2015 10:19 | Anyone in Dusseldorf next week? hxxp://www.dysontc.c I wonder whether the dictators oops, sorry, directors will deem it sufficiently significant to inform us of any sale of property. A forlorn hope but you never know. O/t: garth, further to the question you posed in [3354], the company I decided to gamble on (and have done) is ELCO. I attended their AGM last Monday and came away feeling very impressed. It's not going to be a 'get rich quick' situation but slowly, slowly will suit me fine. I won't get CARried away this time! | ansc
03/6/2015 16:06 | Unless there is a big change then, judging by past form, we will not hear anything until next March. You have to remember that the group is controlled by the banks and I suspect they will wait a few years until the property portfolio is developed and then sold and then dispose of the rump trading subsidiary and wind up. | sharw
03/6/2015 15:51 | so has there been any investor news in the last couple of months ? | jamrol
18/3/2015 12:52 | what would happen if they sold the company ? would be interesting to know number of employees and the wage bill! | jamrol
03/3/2015 14:34 | Having spoken with the co sec this morning, I discovered that the 2014 results had been lurking on the company website when I'd looked first thing this morning; having got to the Investor Relations - News Archive page, all I could see there was the year ending 30 September 2013 Report & Accounts but, owing to some quirk in cyberspace, I needed to 'Refresh' this page and voila up pops the 2014 R & A. As you wrote sharw, a shocking year for Dyson Technical Ceramics - turnover down 40%, loss of £1.5m - with the prospects for 2015 not looking a great deal better either. The Property Business side, however, could be the saviour again this year and, with the way things are shaping up, could possibly become DYS's main earner in the future with engineering as a mere subsidiary (imho). | ansc
03/3/2015 11:15 | The notice of results and AGM arrived in the post this morning and the results are here: A dreadful result from the remaining operating activity was offset by property revaluations as a result of progress with planning permissions etc. That leaves net assets up £1.4m at £19.543m. I make that 7.1p/share - and they last traded at 7p albeit in January last year. | sharw
03/3/2015 08:32 | Well, the 2nd March has now passed (see co sec's reply [3351]) but still no sign of last year's results on DYS's website. My anxiety level is therefore rising by the minute (lol). Fwiw, I'll try phoning Mr McQuinn later this morning. | ansc
10/1/2015 10:07 | I let you know G, when I've stopped buying ..... still have another 100k or so to go yet. Been in it for 13+ years and seen the share price rise and then fall (sounds familiar but even worse than you know who!). I've decided It's the only one I intend to invest in during this year. When will I ever learn!! | ansc
09/1/2015 18:02 | What did you choose ansc? | garth
09/1/2015 17:04 | Hi garth. Thanks and best wishes are returned. I don't think DYS is going to get our pulses racing any time soon but I'm holding out high hopes for my 2015 Nap selection which has also been through the 'wringer'; looks to have emerged in good shape at long last tho' ..... and I don't mean CAR!! | ansc
09/1/2015 16:48 | Thanks Ansc! And best wishes for the new year. G. | garth |
