22/2/2019 15:00 | This share is out of favour...not too sure why...any ideas? Skg seems quite happy in the same sector... | cyberian

21/2/2019 16:24 | I sold my last lot 7th Jul 2017 for £4.90. That price pre-rights issue of course. Current chart would suggest that equates to £3.85. I also bought in on todays dip after waiting paitiently. :-) Dave | dr_smith
21/2/2019 16:15 | cyberian yep i nearly hit the button yesterday, so today was a gift for me guess i best do a bit more research now. WJ. | w1ndjammer
21/2/2019 16:05 | WJ. you have just given me the confidence to add a few more at this level...sp volatility providing some short term trading opportunities if that way inclined. The recent movements are rather unpredictable at present, but hopefully a favourable Brexit resolution will help. The company's trading fundamentals are good and the broad range of analysts from top firms remain bullish, if that helps. | cyberian
21/2/2019 15:59 | bought a few on the dip lets see........ new stock for me WJ. | w1ndjammer
20/2/2019 19:18 | Thanks Dave hopefully a good update will get this past 4 and back to around 4.45 on the chart resistance broken past 350 will be a start ATB | senn1

20/2/2019 13:48 | marksp2011...so it appears that Aviva added another 1,095,564 shares on Monday 18th. Clever how they achieved it as the shares were down 7p on that day...oh well, all a bit side ways trading in the current market, hopefully once the no Brexit is clearly in evidence the markets may become a little more bouyant? Parliament will not allow the no deal to happen even by default...there would be some bad repercussions if that should happen...so it can't..even P.M. May is not that stupid. Actually, looking back on Monday and reviewing the trades, I think one can see how it was done...so hopefully the share price can regain some strength over the next week or so. | cyberian
18/2/2019 12:39 | Thanks marks2011.....you learn something every day! Maybe an attempt to get the share price lower for a good run up to the results, and even beyond as the analysts appear quite bullish on the stock in recent weeks/months, generally. Have added a few but who knows...maybe I should have waited? | cyberian
18/2/2019 11:57 | Cyb, they are ATs, it is a computer. When you set the order up you can use multiple metrics for how it is released. It could be a 10M sell order, you wouldn't know | marksp2011
18/2/2019 10:37 | WS closed today and drift here in early morning on average sells of 600 share lots maybe provides an opportunity to add. Small selling seems odd but can't see anything that negative....Brexit issues are small as the tariff applying to SMDS sector is only 1.5% if push comes to push. However, I personally think that common sense will prevail and a bad result will be avoided over EU exit. | cyberian
16/2/2019 15:18 | jeffian...thanks for that update..I knew there was a lot of resistance, but somehow thought it may have been all over bar the shouting....a take it or leave it scenario. Anyway, the more attention the sector gets the better for us holding here, I hope? | cyberian
16/2/2019 11:28 | Apollo have submitted a lowball bid for RPC on a 'best and final offer' basis which was recommended by management but has little shareholder support and one or two large shareholders have actually come out against. Bain dropped out of the process early on leaving Apollo alone in negotiations which presumably encouraged their low bid, but since that has been declared, US plastics giant Berry Global has entered the fray. All to play for (I hope!). A bit o/t here, I know, but I'm following the thread as this is where I plan to park the ill-gotten gains if forced to sell RPC! | jeffian
15/2/2019 23:19 | jeffian...sorry if I have got a little ahead of the action, but I do understand that Bain are out of the bid process...I think?? | cyberian
15/2/2019 18:22 | "Also Apollo Management may have won RPC recently...." Not yet, they haven't! | jeffian
15/2/2019 16:26 | Chart-wise 400 looks to be first stop, but if an inverse H&S pattern plays out, we could be back to 475 by the Summer. | lord gnome
15/2/2019 13:28 | 4 the magnet? | kemche
15/2/2019 12:45 | 355 the nut to crack | kemche
15/2/2019 12:38 | A few short term investors taking their recent gains off the table as expected but a little short sighted...obviously they may well try to buy back later before further appreciation...their choice and could be lucky. The liquidity in the shares is attractive to traders so can expect some volatility, like with SKG. Also Apollo Management may have won RPC recently but there were other interested parties in pursuit who may have an appetite for a company like SMDS as they like strong cash-flow names in growth sectors. | cyberian
15/2/2019 12:00 | And gooderer still! | kemche
15/2/2019 11:58 | Added - looks to be breaking out. | mozy123 |
