29/3/2011 19:32 | Sharecast - Trading Statement preview... The bright side to that February update was that sales growth had started picking up again towards the end of the reporting period. Wednesday's trading update covers the first 13 weeks of the current financial year. "Inevitably the first impression of the 13-week figure will look unexciting, even if the implied six-week figure moves up, so that we would not be buyers ahead of this announcement," advises Peel Hunt. "We will be interested in the further progress of online sales. These had reached over 40% of delivered sales by the second half of 2010. The fact that they were up 73% in the first seven weeks shows the potential of this area, and Domino's marketing strategy in 2011 will be closely focused on getting the maximum growth from this area," the broker reckons. | ![]() philanderer
29/3/2011 08:20 | Q1 Interim Management Statement and AGM tomorrow.. The Times *Bet of the Day:* After a spectacular 2010, Domino's Pizza has had a pretty rotten time so far this year. Disappointing sales in January and higher commodity prices sparked a 23% fall in the shares to 4493/4p. That persuaded spread-betters to tuck in ahead of results on hopes that business had improved. | ![]() philanderer
