21/1/2009 09:03 | Yes agreed anything could happen in this market. The total amount pledged is 19.8% of the company equity. These were all pledged before admission to AIM and the Official List but I would have thought that a declaration should have been made at this time at least, sloppy regulation by the LSE/SFA. | a0148009
21/1/2009 08:54 | Surely the loans are not close or equal in size to the shares pledged ! I think shareholders should be told the value of the loans and/or % committed in shares. If these guys are effectively using them for collateral against other small cap investments the whole pack of cards could tumble IMO. | davidosh
21/1/2009 08:39 | Bl00dy idiots after the Carphone warehouse fall out this is a disaster | pelleeds1980
21/1/2009 08:12 | Huge number of shares pledged by directors as security could be ominous for sp if they were forced to liquidate.DYOR | a0148009

07/1/2009 07:47 | That's a pretty encouraging statement in the current climate. Given the rise of the past few days it looks like quite a few knew it was coming. Still worth a punt I feel, lets see how it opens. Screamer | screamer

14/12/2008 16:08 | The fast food company is talking to it roster agencies about developing a strategy for the new delivery system, known as PHD, and is keen to go head to head with Domino's Pizza in the UK. | davidosh
10/12/2008 15:08 | Good posts Davidosh. I think dom has a great moat in it's huge advertising fund which enables them to blitz peak T.V. This gives them massive advantage over local competitors and re-inforces there leadership status in pizza delivery, you could almost call them a monopoly. Also there franchise system is very effecient with a lot of training for franchisees, the fact that you can order a pizza and get it delivered under half an hour illustrates that. Personally do not own any shares as I don't think it is cheap especially in current climate but I can see the business remaining resilient as people trade down eat more at home etc.. | sebass
10/12/2008 12:14 | This may be of interest | davidosh
07/12/2008 17:09 | david, yes can see the headlines now, "Dont Panic, Our Pizzas are fine" "English Pork is on Our Fork" ........... I am very suprised that a store can not tell a customer the origin of the ingredients that it is supplying. Same issue with DOM over the mozarella, took me 2 weeks before I had a reply, telling me it was from Welsh Buffalo and not buffalo from around Naples, following the scare over there. | wig123 |
