17/6/2020 07:37 | Is today's reaction to the update overdone?I would say a slight fall in profits is not too bad in the current climate. However I guess it is all about what the market was expecting | izztre
12/6/2020 09:14 | Peel Hunt 'buy', new tp 375p ....up from 350p | philanderer
19/5/2020 12:29 | Thanks for your post Robinnicolson. I missed that update. I now know how I will vote on all the resolutions. AGAINST. This is abysmal treatment of the long suffering shareholders of Dominoes. I for one would like to see the directors take a large pay cut, as they seem to think its OK for the shareholders forfeit the dividend. Santos123 | santos123
19/5/2020 10:44 | From the Covid-19 update on 27 March: The Board has already overseen actions taken on costs and capital spending and continues to carefully assess all remaining essential spending in order to protect our liquidity. Although our performance and liquidity position remain strong, given the volatility of delivery sales and with an uncertain outlook, we are taking a cautious and prudent approach and therefore the Board has decided to suspend the final dividend payment of 5.56p that was announced as part of our full year results on 5 March 2020. The Board will keep this matter under review in the coming months. | robinnicolson
19/5/2020 09:30 | I have just received the voting forms for the this years A.G.M. There is NO resolution regarding paying of a dividend. I have tried phoning Dominoes, but they will not answer the call. Does anybody here know anything about this years dividend? Santos123. | santos123
02/4/2020 10:17 | Looks like 2 good board appointments. Suet | suetballs
01/4/2020 19:36 | Nice move up today with strong afternoon volume in a falling market. Seen stories in local media about stores tripling usual sales on Friday and closing early after selling out of food. Will perform well during lockdown and hoover up takeaway market share but remains to be seen whether these extra sales will be sticky. | wetpantz
01/4/2020 15:07 | I was slightly concerned about the future of this share. And thought the banks and insurance companies would be ok. After today I'd better buy some more dom quick! Suet | suetballs
01/4/2020 13:56 | Domino's: Canaccord upgrades to buy with a target price of 320p. | philanderer
29/3/2020 20:20 | Here in New Zealand we have a lockdown. During the lockdown all takeaways are closed and deliveries of cooked food prohibited. All Dominos outlets are closed. Supermarkets can deliver food orders.NZ chose to go straight to a severe lockdown rather than gradually increasing restrictions. Everyone must stay home. All businesses are closed, except supermarkets, pharmacies, gas stations. We are starting our 5th day of lockdown. We are not allowed to drive except to local essential services. There are very few vehicles on our roads, which makes it easy for police to stop and check. | nod
28/3/2020 13:29 | Domino’s UK looking to hire 6000 staff to meet demand for delivery, according to FT article this weekend. Most of the fast food competition has vanished overnight, i.e. McDonalds, KFC, Burger King, Subway, Greggs, Pret as well as the casual dining chains. Excellent hedge against prolonged covid-19 lockdown IMO | wetpantz
27/3/2020 07:26 | Trading looks ok. Dividend suspended. All in all not too bad. Suet | suetballs
23/3/2020 11:42 | Nice rise today. But will Boris close takeaways? Suet | suetballs
21/3/2020 14:29 | Domino's Pizza in the USA are hiring an additional ten thousand people to cope with the increased demand, so I presume Domino's in the UK are taking similar action. | robinnicolson
21/3/2020 13:10 | Do we know if takeaways are booming right now given the self isolation views welcome....? | tradejunkie2
20/3/2020 20:27 | OK so takeaways still permitted. This should help dom. Today's announcement is really bad news for the hospitality industry but I suppose it was inevitable. Hopefully an exit will come along sooner rather than later. Stay safe everyone. Suet | suetballs
11/3/2020 22:05 | Better than the chefs in fancy restaurants poking and prodding food around the plate getting it just right. Orwell had it right. The more you pay the more it's been molested by another human being. | dround87
09/3/2020 17:19 | I'm not buying, you don't know if all the kids that work in Dominos wash there hands properly. Never mind the moped lot... | jak1
05/3/2020 11:19 | Peel Hunt reiterates 'buy' | philanderer
05/3/2020 09:51 | Bigger problem! Who has handled your food before you? You know fast food chains tend to do well in FSA hygiene scoring. It's the posh places that you need to watch out for! | dround87
02/3/2020 12:36 | Thoughtful article by Bruce Packard: | robinnicolson
28/2/2020 09:19 | Who would order take away right now !!!! you dont know what they are bringing with them... | jak1 |
