As yet !At worst, as you point out, holders have almost £4 a share of assets working for them for a cost of £2, which must be the largest discount in the sector for a long-established trust. A point in itself which, I agree, you'd have thought some broker would be able to market. |

Posted at 07/8/2019 17:43 by rambutan2 Great idea board, that’ll help bring the discount in!FTSE Russell has noted the Scheme of Arrangement in Hansa Trust (UK, 0787972, FTSE UK SmallCap), whereby shareholders will receive five shares in Hansa Investment Company Limited (Bermuda incorporated) in exchange for each existing share held. In line with the FTSE Nationality rules and on the basis that the free float of Hansa Investment Company Limited is not expected to meet the FTSE UK Index Series minimum requirement for non-UK incorporated companies, Hansa Trust is expected be removed from the FTSE UK Index series in conjunction with the scheme effective date. Subject to court sanctioning and based on the current timetable, FTSE Russell anticipates the following treatment: Thursday 29 August 2019 (from market open) Hansa Trust will be deleted from all indexes. FTSE Russell will issue a further notice in due course. |
