US gdp to debt ratio is 123%
if this were a family they would have to sell the house.
if it were a company it would be ruled insolvent
how is this possible?
the dollar is more than the fiction of 'a promise to pay'.
it's more 'don't ask us to keep that promise'.
and the dollar underpins most global activity.
president musk wants to abolish the debt ceiling.
to me, scary and, in the end, surely unsustainable?

apart from co's i know really well as a long term income driven investor i keep a close eye on techs
the dow, as buffet has said, is way overvalued and his opinion will suffer a sharp fall in the not too distant
and that has nothing to do with my hatred of the usa - well, almost nothing.

As at May 20, 2024, NVIDIA stock has a PE ratio of 78.66. Way over-stretched.

Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway now holding $182Bn in cash.

Last quarter's GDP snapped a streak of six straight quarters of at least 2% annual growth. The 1.6% rate of expansion was also the slowest since the economy actually shrank in the first and second quarters of 2022.
