Great report ripplevale. Many thanks for the insight. I still think that nasdaq will launch before the end of 2016.

Yes - good point. Without trying to be patronising, you made a good post ripplevale.

An interesting while coming up in my view over the next weeks.

If I could just add to Snowflakes comment on the lottery that I left out of my post, is that without the XHcai JV, BNN alone would not have had a cat in hells chance of competing for one of the half-dozen licences that will be up for grabs. That comment was quite telling and was put forward as one of the justifications for the link-up.

The Prophet; ripplevale has covered the salient points but we should all look on BNN as being, as far as the world is concerned a Chinese company, albeit that its main listing is on AIM.

BNN will not exist as far as the Chinese consumer is concerned; BNN hides behind Xinhua and Xinhuatong. It earns a commission for piggy backing on the back of Xinhua and Xinhuatong and providing its platform and services.

As such, DM recognises that of the 400 work force all but 10 are Chinese and it is important that they be involved in the ownership of the company. In answer to a question about how the company keeps the two Chinese directors (my words)onside, DM answered that Scott Kennedy is working on an options package which makes absolute sense.

I add two points. First the Chinese government are cleaning up corruption. Second in answer to a question about lotteries (DM has already made it clear in releases and at the GM/AGM) that the company is no longer a lottery based company - it is a technological company) the return of lotteries is taking longer than most forecasters thought; he thought that when it does return there will only be 5 or 6 licences offered.

One thing that is dear to DM in talking to him is that relationships are key; they are a big asset.

There is also another technology company in China called DJI. It makes drones - so I think that is another reason for the name change to avoid any confusion.

My understanding is the name stands for Beijing NewNet, NewNet effectively being DJI in China and thus the name, BNN, better reflects who they are.
As Ripplevale's report points out, they are positioning thmselves as a technology company rather than a gaming company, so BNN Technology seems more appropriate to me.

Re web-site and logo, I'm sure they will all be there quick enough, although that's not of any real concern, but the name change was only a matter of hours ago!

So what is the actual name of the new company?

As a rebranding exercise, changing from "DJI holdings" to "BNN Technology" seems pretty pointless.

Where's the new website?

Where's the logo?

All seems a bit odd to me.

Attended the EGM and can feedback. Short meeting to confirm the name change but good discussions afterwards. Name change is to embed a Chinese identity (New net is trademarked in the US, hence the Beijing prefix).

NASDAQ application is on track in a 'few' weeks with the push on a technology listing that will allow many more more US banks and II's to invest (as they are often prevented from investing in gaming and gambling stocks); if successful, this will increase the PE valuations immediately in line with peers. AIM to remain the primary market however with the shares on NAS fungible. So nothing particularly new there.

Chinese government are reducing the number of payment process licences dramatically from several hundred to a handful and, obviously XH, will be first in the queue. Mobile app payments expected to shift from $250Bn to one trillion within two years as 4G is rolled out to the rural communities.

Some clarification on Xinhuatong which is 45% owned by the Chinese Government with the DJI / BNN financial structure virtually identical to Alipay (NASDAQ F-1 form submission is near-identical). This point was in reply to a concern that DJI was not sufficiently Chinese in term of its investor profile (the answer being that Alipay and Tencent are also essentially foreign companies). All Chinese employees will become shareholders in BNN.

BNN wishes to remain anonymised behind the XH website / pages but will provide additional apps that either they will own outright or through JV's but, will remain very much under the blanket of XH in the round.

The 10% buy-in to XHtong is largely symbolic given them a member on the board. A technological embededdedness and dependency seems to be the more important strategy to ensure on-going relationships and commercial activity.

From body language and non-verbal cues, an announcement on some form of data-processing contract is around the corner but lips were sealed. New apps (supporting Presidential commitments and wishes) are being launched onto the XH sites and other JV's are being worked on.

The commission issue was raised in discussion and an important point was clarified. Commission revenues will be 'multiplied" but not by virtue of charging an increased tariff but though bypassing other intermediaries (who take a slice similar to credit card fees in this country) through the XH partnership.

A final point in a reassuring meeting was that BNN is not the payment license holder or front-end name that the population will grow to understand but is quite simply the technology provider acting as the IT transactor.
