Come on Andrea. (ceo of DC. Nordic operation)

8,500. That is parking meter money for you.

I had 46,000 of these back in day. When they were actually worth something.

Well you can look at it another way, if none of the BoD bought, we'd all be complaining.
...................................................

Look at a recent UK company example...just read the other day on the FT

GREEN KING (GNK)...sp collapsed...after profit warning...reason imo:

more and more cheaper alcohol/beer available at the large supermarkets. More and more pubs closing by the month, turning into bar/restaurant or even developments for flats. FACT....hence why their directors have not bought a ounce of shares since their collapse...
...................................................

DC. director buys, big or small is good news imo

It's nice but not enough. Like to see more financial commitment from them. If Dunstone or Ross added then I'd sit up and think. I guess it's a start but that last purchase looks like a token gesture to me. Show some b@llocks.....About to putt now so I'll leave you to it.

Interesting

DC. will have to pay though ...

circa £900 up front for each phone they stock ..

(apple has onerous terms for 3rd party retailers )

That is a lot of money upfront for a phone that even bulls on here are dubious about buying.

Thought exactly the same they spent all that time talking about a feature which I suspect many are not that bothered about and then it didn't work!

tim 3 I completely agree, and I am a massive apple fan. the iphone X seems massively gimmicky. can't fathom paying £1k+ for an iphone with macbooks in the same price range. completely absurd

shall we get back on track with dixons then? I am still holding (albeit now the smallest holding in my portfolio) dixons at a 50% fall. I do keep reading this thread thinking the share price drop is overdone... but days later we arent seeing a bounce at all.

I often (stupidly) buy shares on analyst recommendations and price targets, this was one of those where they got it completely wrong!

When the 7 came out, I bought the 6s on eBay. When the 8 is available, I'll sell the 6s and buy the 7 etc etc on EBay.. SIM only no contract GiffGaff £10 pm

Bye bye DC.

The £1k price tag could break the apple bubble - customers are finally realizing everything you want to do on a phone you can already do - I've not yet found some one who says "wow, face recognition I must run out and buy one"

I think the X will be good for dc but would be surprised if its in good supply during the critical peak season trading period as its not even available for pre orders till November and there have been well documented supply issues.

Personally will not pay a grand for a phone or £50 plus a month when you can get sim only for under a tenner.

Maybe thats just me being tight ;)

As I said the new phonees have more potential to be liability than asset to DC.

And DC. have as good as told us as much - which some of the nitwits on here have chosen to immediately forget or take issue with

investors on here should pay more attention to food mixer sales.

(I am serious - the Great British Bake Off has been hugely influential.)

Apart from the fact that the relevance of new Apple phones is hugely overblown for DC...

the Fxxking thing did not work did it?

I was a massive fail. the face recognition tech did not function live at the apple jamboree. You have hold the phone at just the right angle ...

I bet Samsung were laughing their socks off

Not many tech advance posters here it seems, Nordic that includes you lolThe Apple conference included some extraordinary product with extraordinary technology.Apple has now aimed to reach many levels of the market, iPhone x is a premium luxury product, with iPhone 8 with boosted tech than iPhone 7 - it's not the same believe me, research the tech! And the other products, 4K tv, Apple Watch with new health features etcMay be a huge sales figure for dc. In the run up to Xmas.Gla

Go to the DXNS board and look at post 4010

I have been here a very very very long time.

why do people post that I am filtered .. What is the point ?

Reminds me of some fat child in the middle of a playground putting his fingers in his ears closing his ears and going "na na - na -na na" cos he does not like what he is hearing (the truth that he is fat probably) .

Actually this company is kind of fat - fat with complacency - think you can outrun Amazon - really !!!? - Seb James is fat as well.

They unfilter me anyway and take a peak from time to time - (don't you ? you naughty lot)

That Apple circus had zero influence in the DC share prices so far anyway.
