30/8/2017 10:44 | Careful Unilever own their brands. As do M&S. This is my point. Dixons carphone own precisely NO brands. They are simply a shopfront for other people's . They add nothing of value to the mix. They are the bag you carry your electricals home in not the goods themselves. nothing more and nothing less. | undervaluedassets
30/8/2017 10:35 | DC own precisely no brands - they sell/promote other peoples' brands. Those that do not take advantage of this fact by simply going into CurrysPCworld and Carphone warehouse testing what they want, and then internet searching and buying the same item cheaper online are an increasing minority. A case in point is the Galaxy S8 - cheaper by 30%+ from multiple online retailers than the handset only offering from CurrysPCworld/CPW. | undervaluedassets

30/8/2017 10:24 | You seem to doubt everyone UA. Sound like you have a rather large chip on your shoulder. Look up "The Last Jobber" I think you can get it online from W H Smith. You'll find me in there . My name is Citron.I'd like to carry on talking about DC and nothing else but if you persist with chippy remarks you will get seen off.Now let's move on.......please. | nortic 007
30/8/2017 10:24 | The analysts also believe that the iPhone 8 will use a “revolutionary Regarding the latter, Bloomberg published a report in February that claimed Apple was planning AR features for the iPhone, citing “people with knowledge of the company’s plans”. The report details how Apple has “built a team combining the strengths of its hardware and software veterans with the expertise of talented outsiders”. “One of the features Apple is exploring is the ability to take a picture and then change the depth of the photograph or the depth of specific objects in the picture later; another would isolate an object in the image, such as a person’s head, and allow it to be tilted 180 degrees,” the report explained. “A different feature in development would use augmented reality to place virtual effects and objects on a person, much the way Snapchat works. It continued: “The iPhone camera features would probably rely on a technology known as depth sensing and use algorithms created by PrimeSense, an Israeli company acquired in 2013. Apple may choose to not roll out these features, but such additions are an up-and-coming trend in the phone business.” Read more at hxxp://www.trustedre | albanyvillas

30/8/2017 10:19 | yes was opodio.. you are right Nothink The idea that Iphone 8 is going to save DC. nonetheless seems rife on this board. As I have said could as equally be liability as saviour I would love someone on here to respond to my balance sheet concerns. there is no value to the DC. brand is my feeling. It is simply a shop window for other peoples brands I go in to currysPcworld often - test what I want - barcode scan it and buy it cheaper on the internet. And thank you very much for the free showroom. Galaxy S8 being a case in point. test it in carphone warehouse. buy it on internet for £200 cheaper. I think it is very telling that no one on here is interested in the balance sheet. | undervaluedassets
30/8/2017 10:17 | Nortic 00730 Aug '17 - 10:11 - 1537 of 1538 0 0 Just actually read the rest of your drivel. Where do I harp on about the charger when I actually say it's a gimmick and then state quite clearly that it's my option of the iPhone and not the stock. You really are a strange one. ....undervalued, under achieved sounds like an arm chair trader. Think everyone is making a loss, when the share price went as low as 160, so there was plenty of time to enter 160-170. | ravin146
30/8/2017 10:12 | Ravin so you got in at the absolute lows before 10.42am on 24/08 did you? because after that the share traded above that price until today when it has again resumed it's downward path. As I said the only chance to have bought cheaper than it is now would have been in that minute window on 24/08 I congratulate if you did - and frankly I am amazed. | undervaluedassets

30/8/2017 10:07 | UAStill licking your wounds from yesterday. Another little snide remark from you today. Will you ever learn......Look up Pinchin Denny and then look up "The Last Jobber".I'll wait for your response as yesterday you remained rather quiet after being put in you place. Now go and sit on the naughty step. | nortic 007
30/8/2017 10:06 | Goodwill often increases after a takeover. It is the difference between the price paid for the takeover target and the book vale of its assets. With a company such as Coca Cola, it is worth many billions yet has modest assets. Goodwill is effectively the value of its brand. Look at Unilever's £27bn intangibles number. | careful
30/8/2017 10:05 | (That is if you REALLY think I am having an effect on the price (which is a preposterous notion in itself) ) ...making up stuff...who said that?! sad man, get a life and a proper job. all your post are on dc....must have a big short. gl, filtered for definite | ravin146
30/8/2017 10:03 | If you are right and I am wrong then the swooning price will simply give you the opportunity to buy more of what you believe in at a cheaper price. Then when the balance sheet woes are cleared and the the profitability turns northward you will be rejoicing and thanking me for a chance to buy cheaply. 30/8/2017 10:02 | undervaluedassets30 Aug '17 - 09:58 - 1530 of 1531 0 0 Ravin ...does it matter ? You are long and losing that we know btw... long and making money...it went as low as 160 remember?! ...yes we all want to know if you are a moron...are you short? | ravin146
30/8/2017 10:00 | The goodwill is clear to see for all, why does it need to be scrutinized more? Debt and lease obligations are relatively low - of course obsolete inventory is always a risk in any business but regardless still an asset which I assume in the normal course of events is written down if slow moving or shifted at bargain prices (we all love a bargain after all). Thanks | scotty666

30/8/2017 09:55 | undervalued assets are you short? | ravin146
30/8/2017 09:52 | From balance sheet again ... Goodwill valued at in excess of £3billion - really? Goodwill is only £600 million at Marks and Spencer FFS! Again this is an area of the balance sheet that needs to be scrutinised very hard. | undervaluedassets
30/8/2017 09:37 | James has in my opinion wrecklessly driven all the margin down to compete with Amazon. When you have net margins of between 2 and 3 percent you have very little room for manoeuvre Still has very large bricks and mortar obligation unlike amazon. At last results unsold inventory jumped from £958 million to £1.1 billion (first time over £1 billion ever). As all electronics/technolo Given everything this company is probably the most vulnerable on the high street | undervaluedassets
30/8/2017 09:23 | The 16 year old market maker is now pimping DC. on the back of the fact that Iphone 8 is going to have wireless charging.. my 3 year old samsung galaxy S6 has wireless charging. Buy Shell! sell HSBC! pass the jammy dodgers. | undervaluedassets
30/8/2017 07:42 | For me it's not so much about the charging because that seems more of a gimmick and as you've said you still have to plug it in. It's all about the looks and the screen going edge to edge rather like the Samsung which I love. I think the new iPhone will be different but it will be more expensive and in short supply to start with but that why people will want it even more. That's just how people think. These are my thoughts on the iPhone and not DC. But whatever happens will happen.I'll hang up now. | nortic 007
29/8/2017 22:13 | Wireless charging is hardly a game changer been around for years and will probably require an additional base that you place your phone on which plugs in! Would be a major benefit if it meant you could simply charge your i phone in your room without directly having it on the base but apparently this technology is not yet with us. | tim 3
