If forecasts are to be believed:

"The $3.01 forecast for Henry Hub in 2021 would represent a marked improvement over 2020, when prices there averaged only $2.03. Henry Hub is expected to strengthen further in 2022, rising to $3.27, according to EIA"

From S&P Global Platts:

US supply slump
In January, total US gas production has averaged just 90.7 Bcf/d – down more than 5 Bcf/d from its prior record high and about 3 Bcf/d below its early January 2020 level.

Reduced gas supply from oil-heavy basins has fueled a rally in the Henry Hub 2021 forward gas curve. In late October, the run-up in prices peaked as the calendar-year average topped $3.15/MMBtu.

While mild winter weather and elevated storage volumes have since dampened the outlook for prices, a modest recovery in the forward curve has taken hold since late December as forwards traders reconsider the steep and sustained selloff. On Jan. 5, the calendar-year 2021 Henry Hub price settled at an average $2.80/MMBtu – up about 13%, or more than 30 cents, from its recent low.

Possibly someone is building a nice position or adding - noticed a pattern of late reported sizeable trades for a number of consecutive days now & tighter spread...Hoping we might get some acquisition news soon with DGOC new investor Oaktree Capital

"All publicity is good publicity" The company has been woefully undervalued for twenty months since the days of 134p. I look upon any article that puts the company in a favourable light as a bonus and an aide to helping get back there.

I don't particularly like companies changing names, but the "& Oil" bit here does them no favours.

I think it was three years ago I first had to advise someone on another board who'd started a thread that said DGOC was an oil producer (didn't even mention gas) - he came back with the "fact" that the price of oil and gas is linked which I had to disadvise him of as well.

Given, due to inbreeding, Eton and Harrow, the average IQ in the City is that of a primary school kid - so I'd do the change.

Hope Motley Fool didn't pay anyone for that article - come to think of it I really don't care.

Clarification on dividends and withholding tax have been posted countless times . Just for the umpteenth . Sipps no tax. Everything else including ISAs, UK citizens pay 15%. If you are paying more change broker. There have been several instances over the last three years of broker's not doing their job properly.

FB - my understanding is slightly different in that if you complete the W8-BEN you are only charged 15% tax whether in an ISA or an ordinary trading account. The US Treasury does not discriminate.

Fardels- there seems to be inconsistent application's from brokers.
Freetrade applied 15% on my ordinary trading account.
I had completed the W8-BEN stuff.

Nope. You get 15% withholding tax in an isa, 30% in a normal trading account and no tax in a sipp..

After withholding tax at 15%, yield is now at 9.3% approx. Better than most investments with regular payments four times a year.

What is a W-8BEN?A W-8BEN form means we can claim a US tax reduction for you on your dividends and interest from US shares. Withholding tax rates can be reduced from 30% to 15%, or to 0% if your shares are held in a SIPP. All clients who want to trade US shares need to submit a W-8BEN.

If it is in SIPP, no tax will be taken, at least that is the case with AJ Bell.

Hi Guys, I have just been told by my bank that the dividend paid is after US tax is paid. Is that correct as if yes it pulls the yield down by 30%. Let me know if you have had the same experience.
