27/12/2018 17:47 | I still haven't received mine from selftrade | janekane
21/12/2018 17:17 | Basem1 check that rate again. Should be around 1.27. | lab305
21/12/2018 12:54 | L G. I'm with iii and have received mine in dollars. Current rate to exchange is 1.8523. I've never had chance to specify what currency to exchange in when setting up my account. I prefer it thus way as it gives you a choice when to exchange. I'm sitting tight and hoping for the low 120's. | basem1
21/12/2018 12:42 | I'm with selftrade nothing paid as yet | janekane
21/12/2018 11:42 | Lab305: try HiFX, WorldFirst, Caxtons or similar as forex brokers. You should be able to transfer USD from a brokerage to one of these and then make a forex transaction at a time of your choice. I have used Caxtons in the past for USD to GBP and EUR to GBP. | sogoesit
21/12/2018 10:53 | Sogoesit you are right that I also can receive dollars in my broker account and judge when to convert them. The problem is that the conversion rate is very poor compared with Forex rates. There may be a way around this without changing brokers but I haven't worked that out yet. | lab305
21/12/2018 10:00 | Well, if you want to receive your dividends in the underlying currency (USD) it is possible to do that depending on your choice of broker and instructions to them. For a "substantial" amount to convert currency you can negotiate with your bank or use a Forex Dealer who will give you spot even for less than "substantial" amounts. I receive mine in USD and converted yesterday at 1.2660. (Judging by other comments on this thread I don't think my holdings in this are "substantial".... but they may get there one day ;-) ). | sogoesit
21/12/2018 09:14 | Agree entirely lab305. A captive audience to be fleeced at will. I have had this problem with other stocks that pay dividends in Euros or Dollars. It does chip away at yield. | lord gnome
21/12/2018 08:03 | Lord Gnome Jarvis was using their " house rate" on dividend day and that was 1.2825 or very very close to that figure. Since I have a lot of this stock it makes a material difference to me. This is why I posted the question. Brokers are just fleecing clients without them even being aware of it. | lab305
20/12/2018 17:21 | lab305 - No. I just believed the text that said 'A dividend has been credited to your account' | ianbrewster
20/12/2018 16:59 | I've been told by AJ Bell it will be 10 working days from payment date so will be sometime in early Jan if I'm lucky. This will be quick for them based on past experience.I made a formal complaint recently as it took 3 months for them to pay my SPSY US divi. | blueeyes13
20/12/2018 16:58 | I'm with ii. I actually received 1.8475p per share today. I calculate it as follows: Dividend declared: 2.8 cents Less 15% withholding tax: 0.42 cents Net Dividend: 2.38 cents 2.38/1.8475 = 1.2882273 as the exchange rate I make this probably the most expensive of the lot. I do have my doubts about ii sometimes. Exchange rate today has been around 1.265, so ii have charged me 2.4% for the currency translation. Another stealth charge? | lord gnome
20/12/2018 16:08 | IanBrewster. Did you actually get paid by them yesterday? I have some in a sipp with them and have nothing paid yet. | lab305
20/12/2018 15:54 | AJ Bell yesterday - 1.2635 | ianbrewster
20/12/2018 11:36 | Both credited today, IG 1.2666, HL 1.2777 | aa29
20/12/2018 10:49 | Does anyone know the exchange rate that they received yesterday from their brokers eg. Jarvis , HL , Barclays etc. I would like to compare rates. Thanks in advance for any replies. | lab305
20/12/2018 09:10 | HH at 3.72, this time last year it was 2.69 - up 38%. Looking good for future income. | podgyted
19/12/2018 13:45 | and with most USA stock divi payments every 3 months | janekane
19/12/2018 08:27 | Yes, a large payday today as it coincides with Shell. This is turning out a great diversifier against Shell. | sogoesit
14/12/2018 15:03 | carcosa 14 Dec '18 - 03:37 - 695 of 699 0 0 0 tgg - Presumably the clutch of announcements in the 30 October, 2018 RNS? ...Doesn't look like it. 14/12/2018 14:58 | Rubbish spread. Very greedy market makers detering business. | lab305
14/12/2018 10:18 | Looking forward to seeing how much I receive next week. I've filled a W8-Ben out so I'm working on just losing 15% withholding tax. I'm hoping to receive approx 1.87p per share | basem1
14/12/2018 08:35 | Yes, four of those a year will do very nicely. | lord gnome
14/12/2018 07:19 | Increased dividend. Running yield about 9%. | sogoesit |
