03/7/2024 15:45 | @leonobull - I agree, it is a mystery as at these levels there near always tends to be a rumour, or a leak, or some potential bad news lurking in background, however the action across the pond suggests otherwise. The only good news is that at some point they have to close and with over 8% of the free float on loan, the impact of that will be signifcant! | ![]() drk1
03/7/2024 13:32 | Trump will probably win given the opposition, yes DEC would probably benefit from such an outcome. | ![]() bountyhunter
03/7/2024 12:12 | My question is why are they shortie? I don't mind shorts generally if a low % but why 2nd highest in the UK? It is counterintuitive. Shorts are often smarter than us yet US IIs are long. I don't get it!! | ![]() leoneobull
03/7/2024 12:00 | With Trump likely to re-enter the White House, this stock will be a significant beneficiary. I can see this doubling with a Trump majority. | ![]() saltaire111
03/7/2024 08:27 | Short interest up yet again - now at a mind-boggling 8.12%. Never seen anything like this before. | ![]() drk1
03/7/2024 08:10 | Russell 2000 effect? NY volumes are certainly higher. | ![]() bountyhunter
03/7/2024 06:46 | Large trade in the US of 75000 shares after close at $14.13, which matches the total volume in UK if you strip out the UT trade here. Fully expect the share price to be £11 today. The shorters have no future here now because there are big US buyers willing to buy cheap, so there is limited downside IMO | ![]() blue square
02/7/2024 21:08 | Big surge into the close in the US on good volume. | ![]() justiceforthemany
02/7/2024 09:28 | 8 % BRock 8% short 8% russel index demand makes a vol of a quater of the company when they are finished up we go. probably soon another month or two because NG is in the correction mood | ![]() kaos3
02/7/2024 08:29 | Blackrock aside, there is now at least a staggering 8% out on loan for shorting - a number than has increased week on week throughout June. In all my years of trading, never quite seen such a mind-boggling scenario! ;-) | ![]() drk1

01/7/2024 16:11 | Is it for sure that they will need 3-4 million shares??? | ![]() t 34
01/7/2024 13:10 | Is the share price being held back by shorters, day trading, or is it the big boys holding the price down to deliver 3-4 million shares to the US Russell listing / brokers/funds? Or is it just investors not impressed with the buybacks and Rusty going on a blind acquisition of wells crusade? | ![]() 97peter
01/7/2024 08:11 | same vol spike vith bur. similar reasons.... it is systemic, not specific | ![]() kaos3
01/7/2024 08:05 | If the volume was 6.9m, why would a just over 4.5m trade be reported 5 times!? | ![]() aleman
29/6/2024 13:57 | Yes, extremely high. The question is why? Stakebuilding ahead of the Russell 2000 listing on Monday. Any other ideas? Shorters closing? | ![]() bountyhunter
29/6/2024 12:17 | The US volume for DEC was 6.9M | ![]() garycook
29/6/2024 10:50 | That's very odd Aleman as I've also seen both volumes shown on that Advfn chart, even though I've changed nothing since I posted it! It's identical to the chart in the header by the way, simply a cut and paste. It's showing ~6m again now for yesterday but when I checked after reading your post it was indeed showing 600k for that viewing!! Based on blue square's last post the ~6m volume yesterday does appear to be correct so maybe it is stake building ahead of the Russell 2000 listing. Anyway I would say that sudden dramatic increase in volume bodes well for Monday so I'm glad it appears to be correct. | ![]() bountyhunter
29/6/2024 10:34 | After several reviewings at 600k, Bountyhunter's chart is now showing me 6m+ again. (Not sure but I think it's actually slightly higher than before at nearly 7m.) | ![]() aleman |
