Actually I said I would probably need to filter you as others have done already, pal
Calm down we all mistype posts once in a while as you did above with your "im short" comment.

After Uk market closed , Dec US is motoring up like every other day - clear manipulation by US traders . However , this is how almost all Uk investors are suffering with huge losses . Taking a quote phrase from Macbeth , King Duncan said “ I am half way in the sea , swimming forward and swim back is the same , must as well carried on” ( im short DEC investors kept the shares and add more hoping for the best .

should share price move up ,( current price of £10.57 , yielding 8.6 %) the current yield will reduce and Uk shareholders are subject to withholding US tax unless in SIPP plus exchange rate differential each time dividend is worked out.
There is definitely better shares out there that easily pay this reducing yield as every shareholding buying is looking for shares to move up . i am not buying any more buy but looking for any upwards movement to sell

My take is the recent results plus ESG report addressed the fears the shorters were playing on. The dividend is outsized from a US investor perspective, without being distressed or unsustainable. ESh performance has significantly improved reducing risk. Irony, lower dividends = greater capital gain.

Day to day fluctuations in the gas price are largely irrelevant to Dec with the majority of production hedged as previously discussed. Long term natural gas futures have some relevance but those are well ahead of today's price which will help when hedging needs to be progressively renewed. It's more about proving the fables of the three senators and shorters to be incorrect and the company has been doing a good job with that now that the dividend cut is history. The US road shows will be helping further and attracting more US investors imo.

Shorts need to admit they were wrong and bail.
Surging in the US again.

Nat Gas Price now is $1.88 therefore DEC will follow this Nat Gas Price Charr. - Psla don’t chant too quick , check the nat gas price befire chanting (buying or selling). I sold some earlier at £9.66 and I already banked the small profit

DEC share price was rolling on level ground but now the gradient is sloping uphill. Don’t see this going anywhere ,more likely gravity bring it back down as Nat Gas Price reaches a peak of $1.91 an hour ago and now back down to $1.89

Being wrong is normal. It will happen often enough that you should expect it fairly regularly. The real skill is realising you are wrong quickly. I'm quite happy being wrong about 3, 4 or even 5 times out of 10. Get out of those early and run your 5, 6 or 7 rights and you should do well in the long run. Don't beat yourself up or argue with others about it. You will make mistakes. Just work hard to try keep them small and accept the odd big one will sneak through. The odds are in your favour that big gains will outweigh the several small losses and odd occasional big loss over the longer term. Getting all emotional about it gets in the way of being a good investor.

Agree re the chart.

The clearest double bottom you could wish for - very bullish for future direction.

@bull

Yes, I think psychology is 90% of it.

People think they know more than they do and they won't take a loss as that would admit they were wrong :(

All ends in tears

LLB

80% of my pot is in collectives

5 key holdings at about 15% each 4 x Globals and 1 x UK Gilts

The other 17% is in a herd of ITs and debt/credit/infra funds

I only have 8% in single stocks and DEC was always a small position. I have been cycling them recently and kept the "profits" as stock so I now have c 1400 shares.

I try and work in percentages but I still choke 15% sounds OK, the cash value of that 15% is more than my house cost

Marksp2011,

"Maybe its the difference between trading and investing?"

I think is probably is. Plus a whole host of factors people don't always take into account; psychology, temperament, etc etc.
