From the FTUS to remain top LNG exporter despite permit pause - GranholmAmanda Chu in New YorkThe US energy secretary said the country would remain the world's top exporter of liquefied natural gas, as energy producers continued to criticise the White House's decision in January to pause permits for new LNG terminals. "We are the largest exporter of natural gas in the world, and we will continue to be the largest exporter in the world," Jennifer Granholm told the National Press Club, adding that the pause "is not going to impact any relationship that we have with our allies or their ability to access energy". The White House decision to pause permits has been slammed by fossil fuel and international business groups. Last week, the Republican-led House of Representatives passed a bill to strip the Biden administration of its ability to halt permits. The legislation has not been approved by the Democratic-led Senate.

Hi Nigel,I'm more interested in the next weeks trading. Intriguing stuff!An increase in shorts, a gas price off the bottom and a large divi due in a few days, with additional corporate action in the mix.I'm of the opinion that the short side is wrong, but it's a difficult one to call. I wouldn't be surprised to see some kind of negative report from an "investment house" to try and push the short position agenda.
