16/12/2023 18:05 | Pogue . 1 year IIRC ???????????? | t 34
16/12/2023 11:10 | Yes the US oil and gas industry has been one of the main beneficiaries of the Ukraine war along with it's arms industry odd that lol. I think the opaque accounts is what is deterring UK investors and allowing the price to fall. It's too good to be true I think for the cautious but on a basic level it's hedged gas which is guaranteed to make money unless forward gas prices falls so low as to make producing gas pointless in which case they stop producing and reduce costs but then so does many other gas producers and the price of gas rises again..... Edit Of course they then make lots of money from thier gas well decommissioning team lol | pogue
16/12/2023 10:58 | pouge, Agree with most of that. It has been a bad year for gas......as the shale oil drillers have been bring on their uncompled wells.......and producing gas as a by product to the oil. Increased oil has lead to increased gas this year......but this is likely to tail off next year. The demand for gas from the NGL producers on the Gulf Coast is going to increase as the new NGL plants come on-line. Yup.....not worried about divi as it is secure for a few years at least....due to the hedges. The divi level. I was glad that the divi was maintained recently, because if it had been cut, it would have been seen as there "something wrong" and there is a reason for the share price fall. However, all of the recent company announcements have been positive and show there is no real reason for the share price fall so far. I keep looking for a reason for such a fall......but cant find one. There are few thingd the company have done wrong but nothing very bad that would account for the fall. You talk about a 10% divi.......I would be happy to see, say, a 15% divi, and the money saved used for more buy-backs, further acquisitions or paying off loans. But not at the moment.....it would send the share price into a tail-spin. Roll on the trading on the NYSE. | 11_percent
16/12/2023 09:17 | Gas price will rise again demand is there. We are 80% hedged for a while yet though, 1 year IIRC for soonest ones, so no threat to divi short term mind you even a lower price would just reduce the divi a bit from the ridiculously high 20%. The hedges have been below the gas price for a little while and were making the accounts look odd as they were reporting the difference as a loss due to having to mark to market so being above may make some people look more positively at the accounts as on first glance they look odd lol. I would still be happy with 10% divi on my original purchase price if future hedges are a little lower mind you as I am going to be holding these longer term and I feel I have bought the bottom as US investors will be more understanding of the company than the current risk averse UK ones. Time will tell but till then I will clip the divis. | pogue
15/12/2023 19:37 | Perhaps we should have hedged the share price !! | 1knocker
15/12/2023 19:08 | Pity they didnt hedge the exchange rate!!!! | renewed1
15/12/2023 17:25 | Yes..... Pro is very hard work.....I dont bother commenting on his posts any more. The shares are cancelled. Agreed......interest rates falling should see a increase in the share price .....but pitty the gas price is tanking again. | 11_percent

15/12/2023 11:35 | 11_percent I am not going blue as I dont want to share any more info with ADVFN and not posting on Pro's threads has only be an inconvenience for DEC, where he is not posting, all others its pointless and time consuming arguing with him as it achieves nothing for me as I know what he is others will have to find out the hard way. Were DEC buying back to cancel or put in treasury by the way? I am holding for the divi mainly however the rerate, due to falling interest rates, is why I bought recently. So many stocks with high yields bombed out I have been going mad buying across the board having dumped the last of my yield based stocks before the Ukraine war. | pogue

15/12/2023 07:57 | Thanks JH, it'll be interesting to find out what 'immediately' means in America. "Therefore, it is ORDERED that the registration on the New York Stock Exchange shall become effective immediately. For the Commission, by the Division of Corporation Finance, pursuant to delegated authority" | fordtin
