14/12/2023 15:24 | What happened to Paul? Iirc he was a rising star in Killick, even had a sunday rag tip section. | purplepelmets
14/12/2023 13:27 | The clue is in the name: tipsters. Noi tister gains a following by saying 'i don't know' or even 'may go up/down a bit'. they have to rate anything tey commentate upon as a raging buy or sell. Also, they never look back (save at predictions that come off). 'Today is a new day' is their mantra. But why is anyone surprised, let alone shocked that following free tips loses them money? Tipsters don't make their living from commission on their followers profits, just their clicks! Its always 'end of the world imminent' or 'lucrative new dawn breaking', never 'thinks will probably keep bumming along, up a bit down a bit'. Sensationalism pulls the punters, just as do ott press headlines which overhype a non-event story. When did you last read a newspaper or the hear the BBC news saing 'nothing worth reporting today'? Remember too that in this life you seldom get more value than you pay for when you are given gratuitous advice! | 1knocker

14/12/2023 08:26 | Good call - very perky this am | scepticalinvestor
14/12/2023 06:27 | Commodities about to pop higher thanks to the FED announcing that interest rates about to sink in 2024 I call the bottom on this one ... recovery starts now | topazfrenzy
13/12/2023 17:12 | Great first day of this thread. Punters have a choice - experience embittered old farts on the other board or get enlightened by posting on here | scepticalinvestor
13/12/2023 16:06 | But its good for a trade i thinkFeel for the poor sods who sold out a few pennies over 1200p | scepticalinvestor
13/12/2023 15:45 | In theory fractional entitlements get credited tomorrow. | bluemango
13/12/2023 15:18 | When checking on what paperwork I should have been and will be sent regarding the consolidation, new listing and new US shareholding, the UK Computershare helpline given in documentation on DEC's website was not that helpful. They say the company send the paperwork out and not them. They say further shareholder register queries should be directed to the US registrars now, which has different contact details that can be found here if you put DEC in at the bottom: I'm trying Diversified's old investor helpline email first if it's the company that should have organised the paperwork. That is: IR@dgoc.com | aleman
13/12/2023 15:04 | Same everyday here, price crashes, company buys more share, proce recovers a little and closes down a little. Everyday is the same. Runs and repeat | my retirement fund

13/12/2023 14:36 | Looking very good now | scepticalinvestor
13/12/2023 14:20 | Well for what it's worth (nothing) I'm happily buying more at this level. Sure I'm showing a loss on my total holding but the income I'm getting in my SIPP (no witholding tax) is more than enough for me to live on, so no need to sell ever! I know there's a possibility of a dividend cut but I think it's fairly low. Short term DECs income is hedged and medium and longer term I expect the price of gas to go up as investment in new wells declines. Also expecting a share price boost once the US listing goes live. | glennpaul
13/12/2023 14:18 | Am nicely up after buying in below 1220pReckon the listing will go live this week | scepticalinvestor
13/12/2023 14:17 | This is for all you bores on the other thread - sorry for your losses but FFS stop moaning. Either STFU or sell!! | scepticalinvestor
13/12/2023 12:57 | Why? Dec is hedged. | imnotspartacus
13/12/2023 11:31 | Nat gas prices are down 40% YTD. Important? Helps inflation cool but not stocks like DEC. | justiceforthemany
13/12/2023 10:18 | I guess the decision for most holders (where for a stock like this surely the majority are in for the income) will be: 'If there are sound reasons to assume the dividend continues at the current rate for the foreseeable future, am I prepared to sit it out, maybe for 12, 24 months, as long as it takes for the capital to creep up again - OR sell, lose the income and watch the share price go up again?' Having satisfied myself that Rusty is a sound guy who knows what he is doing, plus there are short term sentiment reasons for current weakness (eg Cop28 making grand but meaningless gestures about phasing out fossil fuels) and finally the prospect of US listing opening things up to a better valuation, then it has to be the former camp. | bluemango
13/12/2023 10:11 | wllmherk I'd love to be -30%. Currently down 48% :-( My first purchase - which I thought was a decent price @117.33 a year ago all but 3 days. | skinny
13/12/2023 10:03 | Take a look at i3 if you wnt to see a stock the bottom has fallen out of - and without the big dividend to help the total return. Pretty much the whole sector is on its back. its either the buying opportunity of all time or ..... | 1knocker
13/12/2023 09:43 | Big Dilemma ! | stevensupertrader
13/12/2023 09:27 | This counter is becoming a NIGHTMARE to investors . Many investors are now in the middle of the sea , swimming back is as far as swimming forward . Anyone has a better strategy? No buying more to average down is like catching a falling knife , however no buying , might miss this opportunity and how to wait for DEC to recover back to £1 old share price , must as well take a big loss and cut losses now. | stevensupertrader
13/12/2023 09:05 | wllm - I'm down 41% since Feb, and if it makes you feel even better, I've got two stocks performing worse (Ironveld & Tekcapital). Thankfully hold JDW & RR though. | lorse |
