Two moderately chunky trades today:
500,000 at 1.33 and 772, 366 at 1.30, both LRGS
Spread today 1.20/1.35, so both above mid price,
Getting more difficult to pick up very large amounts in one go, but frequent accumulation in modest chunks with a bit of patience might still get you there.
A 1% increase in holding would require 5,020,000 shares.

Good to see the underlying Bid firm from 1.2p to 1.25p late afternoon, no doubt helped by the 500k buy @ 1.33p. Roll on Monday.

JK - the person saying only 100 shares available was trading online. Therefore the broker behind the online platform only had 100 shares allocated to buy with the market makers. It is incorrect that there were only 100 shares available. I trade the old fashioned way and there is always stock available it is just at what price to negotiate. Market makers are under Aim rules have to honor trades for the bid, ask size they give at the price they quote. For example if Wins has 50,000 bid size quoted at 1.3 it has to honor that quote. You usually find the bid ask spread widens when there is limited stock available.

On your other point I do not think there is any overhang or seller in the market looking to unload a significant quantity. Trading was pretty straight forward today and getting 1.3 was relatively straightforward. There are a number of T+ traders who trade in small amounts and yesterday would have created demand on both bid and ask side. Therefore it was easy to pick up today without causing an uptick in the price.

Bare in mind 2 million shares is only £26K. That maybe a lot of money in its own right but not a great deal for a company to trade in value in 2 days.

Have a great weekend and hopefully we get some fun next week.

Funny trades
2 days ago someone posted only 100 shares available over the next 2 trade days Some one has moved nearly 2 million
Question is who’s unloading could it be one of our known large holders or is it as I have thought there’s an overhand
In which case it won’t make any difference to the share price it’s just movements between holders
It’s a reasonable situation when you look at the total share issue
Companies in this situation never move to impressive rises until these shares have been traded
On the other hand if it’s a seller who bought below a penny good luck to them

Quiet day today so some take away from analyst note.

Profit before tax £154K, sales increase 128% to £1.9mln
Turn over increase 139% Redleg rum; 74% Blackwoods
My calculation 82.5% of sales are Redleg Rum and 17.5% are Blackwoods Gin

UK growth in sales 121% and export sales growth 165%
My calculation 82% UK sales 18% exports

Take away comments:
“More product lines to follow”
“sales rose towards the end of Period (30/09/20)” This is important as is a reason for reduced cash.
“These increased investments in New Product Line and marketing underline the company’s confidence in both existing brand portfolio and plan for future developments. We are yet to hear about developments under Marci Gras brand which has secured trademarks in both EU and US”

Note. New Product Development costs are up 300%. There has been an increased headcount in marketing and new product development

It is also worth noting the backdrop of these figures are under a cloud of a collapse in the on trade market through Pubs, Clubs etc. Therefore the results in my opinion, and I am a holder of shares, is fantastic and represents substantial potential for the company going forward.

New research note live on analyst website. Gives a little more information. On positive in my opinion. In this climate first class navigation and performance on deliverables. I would expect write ups on this in the press next week.

How about RG buying the 1.1m, prior to the results, hence the price.
.
I look forward to the next RG holdings RNS, as I'm sure we'll get one.

Pete, AIM market rules as it is market maker stock all orders are off book trades. You stated previous correctly large orders do not need to be reported on same day of transaction, delayed trade. This is due to size as you correctly pointed out. Placing a trade to the market it is negotiated, I.e. you buy in between bid ask spread negotiated with the market maker.

FWIW

I note LSE has later changed the
off book 1.18p 1,100,000 trade from just LRGS to PRIC LRGS.

PRIC means Negotiated Trade Subject to Conditions Other Than Current Market Price.
LRGS still means deferral of (optional) announcement due to Large in Scale

Make what you can of that. I don't know whether that means someone negotiated a better buy price or a better selling price.

And I still want to know who was on the other side of the trade.

LRGS is a MiFID flag meaning that a Large in Scale (LIS) transaction has taken place (in this case off book) and notification to the market has been legally deferred. Transactions that are large in scale compared with normal market size can employ a deferred publication, permitted under Article 14. Under MiFID, LRGS orders benefit from a waiver from pre-trade transparency. The waiver is designed to protect large orders from adverse market impact and to avoid abrupt price movements that can cause market distortion. The application of the deferred publication is an option and not an obligation.

As the bit we saw was only one side of the trade, it makes me wonder who was on the other side.

I do dummy trades on equiniti (ex selftrade) berny. As I'm fully invested currently I can't see the price as I don't have the funds available in my account. However I assume it would be at the prevailing market price.

On requesting a million and one shares I am told there is no quote available whereas on requesting a million I am told there are insufficient funds in my account.

This is how I watch limits through the day. It may seem crude but it certainly works for me.
