03/9/2020 09:30 | >Jane - Extract from my notes #3 ''2 September 2019 Franklin & Sons is a growing, family-orientated brand which continues to lead the way in flavour innovation. Taking inspiration from the unique flavour combinations first explored by the Franklin family back in Victorian Britain, the 1886 Cola includes West African Kola Nut and Colombian coffee beans. Franklin & Sons is owned by Global Brands Ltd, based in Chesterfield. Global Brands has grown to become one of the country's leading independent drinks businesses by continuing to develop and diversify its offering and range of products across the premium spirits, tonics, mixers, soft drinks, RTDs and beer categories.'' | petersinthemarket

03/9/2020 07:10 | Pete, not just coop for RTD but also Morrison’s | berny3
02/9/2020 22:37 | Fair comments Pete, I hope regular commentators or newbies can have the same respect! I’ve been attacked several times for giving an different view from the norm | daz1712
02/9/2020 22:25 | It would definitely be a bad time to sell any IMVHO. | haggismchaggis
02/9/2020 22:05 | It is starting to look like the mm's have at last recognized that there are limited numbers of floating shares left and are starting to play games with the bid/offer. They are testing now to see how much they can get people to pay. But with that spread it's plain they are not confident of which way to swing. I suspect it will have to be up, at least for a while. The strength of the company is starting to show through. Profitable. Beginning to go global. No debt. Cash in the bank. A new product (with Franklins) hit the shops (COOP) two days ago. More to come. pete | petersinthemarket
02/9/2020 21:54 | Great to see you back in play Daz. You know I need you to keep my feet on the ground! As for Jane....well. We have had our moments but I hope she sticks with it as she has great experience and I hope we get to share some of it. As for Zxie, I think I'm tempted to filter. I made an honest and sensible approach to a newcomer, but so far have seen nothing but nonsense. I'll wait a little, but only a little. | petersinthemarket
02/9/2020 19:24 | Moving on to the recent share price rise with massive volume(compared to the norm) it appears that either RG is making the play or other parties have decided to take this to a new level. Personally I have added at 1.35, 1.42 and a lot before from .89+will be accumulating on the basis that the trends are looking good and as I have said numerous time Redleg is as good a rum as the premium brands. | daz1712
02/9/2020 19:11 | Hi all And welcome zxie to the discussion, firstly would like to apologise for the comments of one of the regular commentators on here, after making your valid point about the share price maybe making 3p you were called an Idiot and told to F Off. I see they are discussing filtering JK for these comments so please feel free to express any valid comments in the future | daz1712

02/9/2020 18:47 | I'm quick to filter Pete and did so today. You can always unfilter should the person start to become interesting. That's usually noticeable when you see others having a reasoned discussion with the filtered person. To date I have in excess of 2,200 names on my filter list. | lr2

02/9/2020 18:01 | Despite an interesting day, my finger is starting to itch for the filter button. | petersinthemarket
02/9/2020 17:58 | A fool. Charts only cost you money. I'd rather read the news. | zxie
02/9/2020 16:55 | Thanks Jane - However you read it, something is going on here and the share price is at last going to move higher. | petersinthemarket
02/9/2020 16:41 | £4980 agree but this is a company with market cap of £7.2mill so today’s trading is on the higher range than usual We both can have different opinions as to the way this is moving but from the chart and recent trading the indicators Ime getting is if we maintain 2 million buys against 1 million sells in consecutive trading periods then nothing can stop the move north The charts are very encouraging but my reading of the charts is based on historical trading If the trades stop so will the share price Drop | janekane
02/9/2020 16:22 | JK not sure about your "broker speak" term, as back office means many things to many people in the finance world. I always refer to back office as settlements. Covering those trades 14:15:51 switched to 50,000 on Bid@1.4 there was a 200,000@1.4 the you had 3*50,000 trades 1.48, 1.48, 1.4 time stamps 14:18:31 14:19:39 14:35:41 - to me that looks like one trader, bid then dropped back to 1.3 350,000 shares at that price = £4,980 not a large sell in my opinion. | berny3
02/9/2020 16:07 | I expect this to move higher Than now (at this time 16.07 but will be surprised if it’s today If we have similar trades tomorrow as today then the bid offer should be 1,50////1,70 At the end of trading These are my calculations expected from years of trading They are never 100% accurate but to me they are good indicators My comments are from today’s trades | janekane
02/9/2020 16:00 | It truly staggers me how many people come out of the woodwork, either on the thread, or on the share price chart, when a bit of action occurs. There are plainly a lot of very interested silent parties out there. | petersinthemarket
02/9/2020 15:57 | Berny you can place orders with all brokers at sett terms You can place a sell order with your broker ,let’s say 200000 @ 1.45p this sits in the back office (this being broker speak for buy sell orders ) You can add time limit end of today’s trading or any time you like In the future The movement’s in the offer intimated to me a sell order sett at 1.40,I did not know the price set at 1.40 but 15 minutes after my comments the bid increased from 1.30 to 1.40 dropping back To 1.30 after another 2 trades | janekane |
