...recent trades on the Aquis exchange

with the trades on AIM there has been some activity recently

a PI could have picked up £5k in shares without much problem & for many PIs with a portfolio of £50-100k that is all they would probably want to buy

illiquid...yes

....if I am right with my estimate of ~£1/2 million in public hands then if 1% of those shares were to be sold in 1 day then it would be just £5000/day

illiquid.....can easily move up, or down with a low value in £ of trades

only a small amount of buying has move the price up from 15p to buy to 20p.

..the mkt price could easily move to 25p-30p on low volume

Smithie6 - I was referring to the institutions - In particular Herald and Close -Should have made it clearer.

In respect of my reference to dealing I was writing this while you were posting and had not seen your 7 of 10. Was referencing Clocktower's original first post.

out of these holders of >3% which ones are respected names ??

....the names of people, I don't recognise them as respected names, the instis, yes.

happy to be informed & to learn

Rory Howard 3,300,000 16.78
Herald Investment Management 1,767,444 8.99
Unicorn Asset Management 1,595,301 8.11
James McLaughlin 1,511,122 7.68
Sarah McLaughlin 1,061,000 5.39
Mike Love 989,754 5.03
Close Asset Management Ltd 978,516 4.98
Robert Howells 650,000 3.30

-----
btw the chairman & MD own 4 million shares between them. 20% of the total.

added to the 56% in the post by pugugly gives a total of ~76% of the shares not being in public hands.
if one assumes there are 10% in firm hands (4 x 2.5%, or 8 x 1.25%)
then the total % of shares not in public hands might be 86%
...if correct then there would be ~2.8 million shares in public hands.
= ~£1/2 million

today is my first post on this thread

...price has risen X % before my post today

------

btw

there are a few more trades, on the Aquis exchange.

but yes, it is currently illiquid....very common for a microcap with a high % of the shares held by holders of >3% (& there will be some with 2.5-3%)

Looks far too illiquid - Maybe depends when you initially bought. Query the 5853 at 17p on the 3rd? All of £1,230 + dealing costs.

Looks very very illiquid with wide spread %age wise.

Some well respected names amongst the named holders

NAME NO. OF SHARES % OF ISSUED ORDINARY SHARES
Rory Howard 3,300,000 16.78
Herald Investment Management 1,767,444 8.99
Unicorn Asset Management 1,595,301 8.11
James McLaughlin 1,511,122 7.68
Sarah McLaughlin 1,061,000 5.39
Mike Love 989,754 5.03
Close Asset Management Ltd 978,516 4.98
Robert Howells 650,000 3.30
Percentage of AIM Securities not in public hands: 56.74%.

However unless holding before the float must be well under water as now bouncing off the all time low possibly thanks to your buying and thread-

However as Smithie points out some interesting developments so probably worth some deeper DD - However spread and lack of liquidity and at a guess some very stale holders possibly wanting out not one for trading

...does look cheap

software products, global outlets, recurring revenue

(last annual results
"Recurring revenues2 represent 89%" of revenue

& general clients in the general sector have issued RNSs that trading is good (Gattaca & NBB)

so DSG should be doing well imo
----

From the trading update for 2022 :-
"Particular performance improvements were seen with the Group's Infinity, FileFinder and Talentis products. 2022 saw the successful implementation of the Group's largest Infinity implementation, with a strong pipeline for this product being carried into 2023. FileFinder client retention improved significantly in the year as a major project was completed, which delivered improved user experience along with significant operating efficiencies."

...& in 2022 a major client renewed their software contract with DSG for 5 years.

----
from H1 results
"Recurring revenues represented 88% (2021: 90%) of Group revenue, which covers administration expenses (excluding depreciation and amortisation)"

&

"Contingency business successfully implemented previously announced large contract win. A further large contract was received post period end, providing confidence in H2 and visibility into the future"

&

"In my statement in the annual report, I was optimistic for the future and our H1 results validate this belief. Revenue is growing, our order book is stronger and operational performance is improving. We enter the second half with a strong pipeline of business and are optimistic about delivering further progress in the coming months"

----
"The Group develops, markets and supports the Talentis, FileFinder, Infinity, Mid-Office, ISV and GatedTalent products"

...that is a lot of working software with clients paying to use it for just £4million (@ 20p/share)

the cost to develop that software & build up the turnover to its current level of ~£5.6 million would surely be much higher

----
The cap. value is lower than the turnover, that is unusual for a software company. This is because of the problems the co. has had in recent years. It appears that the co. might now be turning the corner, if so then the sh. price could rapidly move up to a more normal rating for a software company.
As a starter, 1.5 x revenue , = 1.5 x 5.6 = £8.4 million.
about 40p/share.

I would not mind betting that the idiot that keeps voting my posts down is picking up the stock that does come out, to prevent me getting any more at my target price.

Ah well good luck, as I am just as content to see him/her profit from this pearl of a share in the coming year or two.

If any holder is reading this thread and wants to sell in small size batches at around 16p - I am a buyer at 17p so there is support at this level - though the last couple of trades were transacted at 18.75p on Friday, so it maybe wishful thinking but I am hopeful as the share price has spiked higher than I expected with very few trades, and the MM have kept the spread ridiculously wide.

Big move up today, so it seems I got my timing spot on but I had wished to see a few sellers so I could pick up more stock at the level I started buying at because I think this software company has now come of age and might even get taken over by LinkedIn because it will take market share from them imo.

So little volume now, makes the share price tick up - at what level will I see a seller, as I took 5k shares just now but would like a few more on the cheap, so a little patience needed.

Well I bought a few more today, I only have a small investment here but I feel if they really do recover this year then they could double. I certainly can't see things getting much worse than they have been the last couple of years and although the FD leaving is not a good sign and we may be in for a recession I don't expect these to go broke in the short term so i'll give them a bit of time to prove me right or wrong.

Shame to have lost a new FD so quickly - and in the week of the final announcement. Those of you with a suspicious mind could conclude that there's been some disagreement about the results/prospects/annual report wording, because I can't see anywhere else that refers to "her voluntary work". This strikes me as someone who's left because she didn't like the writing on the wall, and has decided to "pursue her other interests". I'm a seller on this news, notwithstanding the results.

Unusual to have an ACMA as FD of a listed company. Shame Gated Talent didn’t take off like they hoped.
