Thomas Scott, managing associate on Linklaters' private equity team, was "cautiously optimistic" for private equity capital deployment in 2024.

More specifically, the technology, energy and healthcare sectors are expected to remain attractive for private equity.

Digital infrastructure and datacenter deals will also get private equity buy-in because infrastructure is "viewed as being robust, stable and cash generative," Scott said.

"We should expect to see increasingly high volumes of deal activity within this space as strong macro trends, including cloud computing and AI, continue to fuel growth in this sector," Scott said.

The new director Richard Boleat is involved in lots of PE. He is a director for hire but has lots of connections in that area and I think most probably want DGI9 wound up, so it would make sense

All time low today. I think worth a punt at 29p.I remember when 3i Infrastructure were considering a bid at around the 85p level, then they walked away. That ironically supported the price for a while because analysts seemed to think there would be other suitors, but it seems that 3iN walking away was the best sell (or at least "avoid") signal.

JPM have just updated.

DGI have no obligation to proved further funding to VG until close of transaction. Let's hope not delayed!

Arqiva valuation is geared by the debt, a 20% EV uplift gives 70p per share, a 20% drops to only 10p.

They think Macquarie may be open to selling their 26.5% voting at same time so the combined stake could attract a premium.

However how will the risk of long term revenue decline from broadcast revenues impact the current valuation... And the other Arqiva assets are less established.

Who knows, but I'm breaking a rule and going back in. Triple witching on Friday, suspect there's a lot more selling to come through so the market in DGI9 should be nice & liquid.

Something that can't be said about the portfolio, but everything has a price.

Is this company actually worth something (anything?). If the asset valuation were flawless the share price wouldn't be floorless.

If it was grossly undervalued and a bit of liquidity could unlock things you would have thougt some dry powder would be sniffing around.
