23/11/2019 22:42 | See you next year when this is about 50p | tomv33
20/11/2019 16:36 | Agreed Jefflan, they need to start generating positive cash-flow. That said, they are on a sensible p/e if the management gets a recovery going. AND - don't rule out a "left-field" bid from a US company with the strong dollar making UK assets look good value. A £3.50 / £4 bid could be hard to defend. I bought a few for the wife's ISA earlier. | outsizeclothes.com
20/11/2019 10:34 | #repetitionalert They need to stop capitalising regular expenditure and claiming so-called "exceptionals" and start generating some cash. | jeffian
20/11/2019 00:50 | Several people post their opinion with no facts. Decision to source Sanmina was a disaster that this team is still recovering from. It will take time. Meanwhile they have developed several successful products and are ramping rapidly. Quality was never a question, they lead the industry with reliability and warranty. They need leadership, direction and decisions to move forward. Mgt is doing that now! | ledguy
19/11/2019 22:16 | Another great call ONJohn! | tanners
19/11/2019 21:03 | Management have made very poor decisions over the past 5 years, which has cost the companies reputation for quality and excellence in LED lighting world. Directors try to prove themselves by making decisions that they think will increase profits or expansion in a greedy way which in the end jeopardises the whole company. Dialight should have stuck to being a niche company, they will never compete with China who are flooding the market with cheap LED lighting.. I'm disappointed with management. | beeezzz
19/11/2019 18:31 | Sounds like you've been doing lots of strategising, again. You probably lost the 20% fleeting gain from HSW on DIA. Am I correct? At least this management is investing to turn around the business. VT | velocytongo
19/11/2019 07:45 | Management behind the ball yet again - If this was a pet animal the owner would probably call in the vet to have it put down. | pugugly
19/11/2019 07:21 | Very poor statement! | bookbroker
19/11/2019 07:14 | Looks like they were right to dump it | nw99
11/11/2019 15:31 | Dumped by SCSW ? This has usually proven to be a buy signal over the last 3 or 4 years ! | outsizeclothes.com
11/11/2019 08:33 | Dumped by SCSW | john09
11/11/2019 08:33 | Why the sudden fall? | tomv33
28/9/2019 10:22 | Large spread | tomv33
09/9/2019 14:27 | Intl Acct Standards require that Development costs be amortized and not expensed. Nothing odd about following the standards. Has minimal impact to financials. Instead of expensing in one year they expense over 3-5 years. They still need a strong leader to set course. Fariyal could set that course. Need to wait and see. | ledguy
09/9/2019 13:35 | Good write up in SCSW this weekend | johnv
07/9/2019 08:33 | Time to buy more | nw99
07/8/2019 22:46 | #3317, You don't and that's my point entirely. They're treating this expenditure as if it's one-off capital expenditure and adding it to the Balance Sheet as an 'asset' rather than expensing it against annual revenues but, as you say, it's something they have to do year after year to keep up with advances in the industry so it's not 'exceptional' expenditure at all, nor is it an 'asset' as it will have to be written off when the next generation of lights are developed. | jeffian
07/8/2019 22:13 | Stock will rally hard | nw99
07/8/2019 21:43 | Problem is they are in a market where R&D is critical in maintaining a competitive edge over your nearest competitors, at what point do you scale back this essential part of the business. | beeezzz |
