Mcunliffe1 would not worry about Porsche1945 and has no idea about EU Law. He/she should read up on owning a house and the Green Bill if not up to scratch you lose it Government buys it you have no say. That is just 1 Law they passed. Glad we're out of the EU basket case-making corrupt lobby. Probably to mention most of the Commissioners are under investigation for fraud and corruption.

To Diageo slightly over done bought in sold Croda at a slight profit.

Porsche1945: So YOU think this drop is related to Brexit?

I thought it was, in part, related to the poor South American DGE performance. Did we leave a trade block in S. America as well?

Tell me, given your handle, Porsche, how is the EU fareing these days, with particular focus on Germany?

A 15% sell off for a blue chip business such as DGE seems way overdone to me. Have just sold out of Barclays (at a significant loss) and taken an initial holding here (at 2750) either for a short term bounce (to 3000?) or a longer term base holding, though probably both.

Falling knife.

Re-rating underway.

Rested on its laurels and lost its fizz.

Well given what competitors have said one could have expected it.
But the market's hissy fit is surely influenced by the warning taking a while in the making AND a new CEO. You have to expect overreaction.
We'll have to drink more.
These are really awful markets.
Cash is a good option. You can count it while you slug pints! ;)

Warren Buffett holds DGE and that’s good enough for me to see this as a buying opportunity. This morning’s fall is just giving the traders a nice end to the week. If you wait too long you may well miss out as the day progresses because the recovery will be rapid from such a fall

Don't forget that profit warnings tend to come in threes.

My £25 figure might be optimistic now.

Sitting on hands.

Oversold at 2800 pence or further to run down...?

That is some overshoot given the underlying growth in all but 1 segment representing 11% of turnover..?

Drop is huge for one of the top FTSE 100

Structual gap at around £26.50 from November 3 years ago.
