I can recommend Maynard Paton's analysis ( Thank you Maynard.
A very thoughtful piece based on hard work gathering the numbers.
Where I differ slightly is I'm not so pessimistic on (a) the ROE or (b) the pension deficit. I get much higher numbers for the former (which feeds into the competitive advantage discussion - more so than margin), and I'm not bothered by the later, as a rise in bond yields will sort that out (and it has cash to match).

Irrelevant vote might be taking it further than I would go BUT, all other things being equal, it seems too big a differential to me. Happy to run with the DWHAs for now. All it would take to move this is some "wise" commentator or tipster to spot the difference and run it in a Sunday Newspaper, or something like the IC and I feel sure the gap would close swiftly. Just my thoughts on it, FWIW.

FWIW, from this morning's broker notes:-

18 Feb 15 Dewhurst PLC Cantor Fitzgerald Buy 565.00 - 638.00 Resumes

With 565 being the current price and 638 the target.

Obviously this is for DWHT but throws the price differential between the A's and the T's in to sharp focus IMHO.
