Penpont - phoned their office in London a few weeks ago and they expect the results to be out in the first half of April. But I'm sure it's not written in stone and what's more important is the figures and what they say about the rest of 2012.

woodcot - where are you getting the info re results date being in April? It's down on Morningstar website as 4/5 and has been early May in recent years from what i can see.

Thanks

I think resent down turn here has been overdone and circa £6.4 market cap look cheap if the broker forecasts come anywhere near. Plus as Valhamos has stated they have over £2 million in cash plus I believe we can add another £1 million when the 2011 figures are released.

Final figures for 2011 are due out in April and the last update in November looked like we will see a healthy increase over 2010. I'm expecting a substantial increase in the dividend.

Hope to hear an update on the rental situation and the BH land.

At this share price level they look like a giveaway regardless of the legal action over the rent.

Norbert

At 30/06/11 borrowings were £1.438m but there was cash of £2.106m, so there was no net debt.

And total liabilities of £5.6m seems quite healthy when there is £8.6m of current assets.

Guys.

I note since the capital reduction that the debt/shareholders equity ratio is now around 1.4 (should ideally be 0.85 or less in my book). This assumes total liabilities at year end of 5.6m against equity of only 4.095m - comments?

Wonder if there is positive news on the horizon. Quite a bit of buying the last couple of days and also you can get over 9p to sell online despite the quoted price of 8.5p. Marketmakers clearly wanting your stock.

I have two other methods of keeping pace with the markets: first the phone line to my broker - i can often ask for any info i want, and second my mobile has a good internet connection whereby i always download digitalook where i have a full list of stocks i follow.

I actually agree that DSN will in time be a very good investment, and this legal action could just be an unwelcome distraction. But in the meantime I thought I might as well stick the proceeds into GBO.

cfro I thought all the UK was on broadband now, you must live in a remote area. I hope you are not without the internet for too long, that would drive me crazy now, not being able to check the markets.

Very wise to sell down a weak holding and derisk it. Im fortunately in a good position here as DSN only represents about 4% of my overall porty, so i dont need to sell down my holding as it stands.

Im quite contented to hold and await results as in my experience these kinds of shares can and do often turn on a sixpence.

I still like this co alot and as Norbert points out above, its only got to be 'inline' with profit targets

PS, i've just gone over to broadband, one of the last in my area to go over, and im having a considerable amount of trouble with it. I've got an engineer coming out on Tuesday so i may not be contactable for a few days. So if any of you dont hear from me for a while, you know the reason!

I agree saucepan the chart does look weak, and not a bad move to take losses on the day of the RNS. I did sell just over half my holding earlier this week, and holding a small balance until a trading update or full year results.

Just enough to keep an interest here really, put not enough to damage the portfolio.

Hmn . . . Keeping DSN on my watchlist. For now, it looks like the decision to take losses on the day of the RNS was not a bad one. With this afternoon's downtick, another line of support has evaporated and the downtrend is becoming more marked. It looks like July/October 2010 support will be the next level to be tested. If that fails, there is no substantial support until much lower levels.

However, things can sometimes change quickly. I hope they do for those still in, but I cannot see myself being tempted back with the chart as it is at present.

Not sure about that callumross, isn't he in the US? and also he wasn't appointed a director until after Densitron Ferrograph was sold.

Ah, the obligatory director resignation for "personal reasons" has just been announced following the shambles over the lease. Someone had to step on their sword, I guess.

Naked - a good idea, but the land at Blackheath is not worth much until approval is granted for development, which is ongoing, and has been for years.

How about they offer a strip of land in Blackheath as compensation to the landlord in return for surrendering the lease!!!! Seriously though I can't see that their legal advisers would let them sell a company and maintain any risk of a default on a long term lease. Normally any such transactions are provided with indemnities and legal undertakings however the landlord must think they have a case.

I did see the RNS this morning, but have been driving through Spain all day, so unable to take any action. Great posts today which have been really imformative.

On any negative news I would normally sell and head for the hills, but my initial reaction this morning was that this could provide a good top up opportunity. Though this action is an unwelcome distraction which is likely to drag on for a long time, I can't see that even the worst outcome would have a very large effect on future profits. But sentiment could be fragile upto the next results in May.

So I will sleep on this and see if a future top opportunity presents itself.

Yes brilliant posts here today. I dont know where on earth some of you guys have come from as this bb was deathly quiet for weeks but you are all more than welcome to pop in more often in my eyes.

I actually took the plunge and bought another 15,000 shares earlier and got a great price for them too.

Excellent comments on here today, thank you to all who contributed. I picked some up this morning, feeling the downside risk was over exaggerated in the price fall at the time.

Im clueless law wise, but does anyone know of anything along the lines of 'due opportunity to rectify'? Had the landlord re let the building, then nothing would be here now, but if not then surely they are remiss of not allowing DSN the opportunity to sublet, and why did nothing get pursued at the 2008 rent review?

I agree it seems clutching at straws.

Valhamos - I think that if they were guarantor it would have shown up in the accounts as a contingent liability. My guess is that this came out of the blue as much for the present Directors as for the rest of us. Its one of those 'Unknown unknowns'!
