So another probe based device on the market

Device: ImaCor PM

The ImaCor ClariTEE (hTEE) device is a transesophageal echocardiography system. It produces a single-plane two-dimensional image. The ImaCor probe is a 5.5 mm detachable probe; it can remain in situ for up to 72h and allows for reassessment of the patient's hemodynamic progress and the effect of selected interventions at any time. The probe is connected to a dedicated echocardiographic system which allows the for the recording of digital loops and performance of basic two-dimensional measurements.

mrC2u,

Reminds me of a PLUS company where an investment company of which I was director held about 20% held its first AGM and we were critical of management. The largest shareholder told us that if we didn't like we were hearing we should sell our shares and leave. I had to point out that if we sold our 20% – or attempted to sell more than a little – then there probably would be no share price as the MMs would trash the price.

Someone sold £1,500 of shares & knocked the price down by 10%!!!Really feel like it's time to buy some more but struggling to find a reason to do so. Think they will have positive news about cash in January but on basis of my own research and nothing to do with newsflowStill bamboozled by the only concrete news as think that a new, low grade, auditor is the last they need. New broker? New non-execs? New FD? New chairman? New year? The first four seem to be hanging on and pinning their hopes on the fifthMaybe they want to be prime minister? Or Man U manager? Or maybe they have a master plan to change the stationery provider?Bah HumbugMrC

gnmartin, buywell3,

GET A ROOM!

You can find a nice hotel somewhere, away from the cares of the stock market, and admire each other in privacy.

...and whatever you may choose to substitute for "admire".

I think you got that one right ... the words used V NICE by Deltex in their arguments were very strong ... one could imagine that NICE management might have been less than impressed ... might explain why NHS orders since have dropped.

Thanks for your answers gnmartin ... it shows the value of research

Were these NICE links known to anyone else on here ?

I wonder if folks in the USA, France and Spain have read them ?

No, I wasn't aware of the NICE links. Perhaps this review triggered Ewan's resignation (RNS June 13).

I can't see myself selling DEMG, nor buying more, so I am not digging around. I'll keep an eye on the NICE page if I start to feel DEMG are looking interesting again. The contrast between the impression one got from listening to Ewan and from reading the NICE report is striking.

Correct ... I would say what they said was damning , and they carry a lot of weight.

Are you aware of which NHS Dept pays for hemodynamic devices sold to the NHS ?

Worth checking out

incidentally where you also aware of these NICE links ?

The Royal College of Anaesthetists contribution is very unfriendly to DEMG.

Please explain.Looks to me like DEMG have NICE on the defensive over their previous screw up and the update, when it comes, could make this go stratospheric.I hadn't realised just how bad LID's evidence was either. If that gets out, they will be in dreadful, dreadful trouble. Shocking really that millions of taxpayer cash has been wasted on LID's Stone Age tech.

Very quiet of late so I thought some would like to see what NICE latest statement was on ODM signed off May 2017

Looked back on this thread and it seems to have been not discussed

Seems to have relevance as it explains IMO why DEMG sales into the NHS have been going backwards

NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR HEALTH AND CARE EXCELLENCE
Centre for Health Technology

Evaluation Review Decision
Outcome of review of MTG3: CardioQ-ODM oesophageal doppler monitor

Paper signed off by: Mark Campbell, Associate Director Date 12 May 2017

Note:

4. Recommendation post-consultation

MTG3 should be updated in a suitable clinical guideline, and the current guidance
transferred to the static list and a statement added to overview page on the website to
explain the review of the guidance and that a new version of the technology is available.

Also note NICE has now ammended th previous 2011 Guidance

May 2011: The guidance was amended to clarify that the study by Gan et al. (2002) included patients having general surgery.

NICE has developed tools, in association with relevant stakeholders, to help organisations put this guidance into practice.

Is this guidance up to date?

We reviewed this guidance in May 2017.

We propose to withdraw the guidance and incorporate the recommendations into NICE's guideline on perioperative care.

Readers of the current guidance should be aware that CardioQ-ODM has been superseded by CardioQ-ODM+ and that the analysis on costs and potential savings in the current guidance may be subject to local pathway changes. Further information is in the review proposal and review decision documents.

I must say I find it very, very strange that nobody has pointed out these developments on this thread , perhaps they have and I have missed it ... if so please supply the advn post number/s where the matter/s have been discussed so that I can peruse and comment ... otherwise the explanations are

1. Nobody on here researches what is happening re NICE and their ODM Guidelines regarding DEMG

2. Some folks do know but have chosen to stay silent ... sell their shares

3. Nobody likes to say anything negative regarding DEMG even though they have read the above links before

When you read posts like this ... I wonder if some posters do any research at all ???

Please explain.

Looks to me like DEMG have NICE on the defensive over their previous screw up and the update, when it comes, could make this go stratospheric.

Mickey Mouse move from an out of touch Board?Suppose they will save a few thou, but these processes take ages, are a huge distraction and will hardly reassure the big boys who may want to buy DEMG soon.
