Positive update IMO. 2 new platform accounts8 more on track in the coming months2 new studies report in June and JulyRe-iterated if they hit their targets the business will be able to internally fund. The US business is clearly gaining traction, it's the biggest market in the world by a distance, I see DEMG as a massive T/O target in 2017Even if they do need a cash raise 1. It should be small 2. Unlikely to be at a discount to today share price IMO. 3. Likely to see significant Mgmt take up

Nothing unexpected in today's RNS's.

2 new US platform accounts, on course for meeting their target of 30 (I believe the target date for this is Labor Day).

Other international sales going well.

UK still a bummer.

Re-iterated the key priority of reaching operational cashflow break even this year and confirmed they are progressing towards it.

I was hoping to go but there's no chance. I expect to hear of additional platform accounts, there were 3 in progress when the results came out, so it would be good to hear of progress there and any new accounts underway.

I would also expect that we will hear an update on current trading, will we have crossed the 1500 milestone?

But I agree, clarity on when we can expect cash breakeven at the operating level is the big one.

AGM tomorrow, any chance of some news? More platform programme accounts?

I hope anyone going does try and make clearer the cash breakeven at the operating level comment, by questioning the Board on the statement.

Read Zeus Capital's note on DELTEX MEDICAL GROUP PLC (DEMG), out this morning, by visiting hxxps://www.research-tree.com/company/GB0059337583
"Deltex Medical Group plc (DEMG), the global leader in the field of Oesophageal Doppler Monitoring (ODM), today reported its Interim financial results for the 6 months to June 30th, 2015. As highlighted in its pre-close trading update released in July, the first half of 2015 saw a continuation of the challenges in the UK caused by the difficult NHS funding environment. H1 2015 revenues reached £2.7m (H1 2014: £3.0m) and the net loss increased to £2.2m (H1 2014: £1.5m). Despite the tough UK conditions, DEMG has reported strong growth in the US market (+28%) where the company is focusing its commercialisation efforts. Other international markets have also performed well (+19%). The strength in foreign markets supports the strategic decisions taken by management to focus on further developing these territories. However..."

Perhaps the exclamation mark in the thread title, will, in a few years, be more appropriate, as there are a few people here who will certainly be feeling that element of surprise, if it all comes good in the end !

Followed by a decision to abandon the technology entirely since it's obviously impossible to maintain proper stock levels for probes...

You know what these bureaucrats are like... one of them would de-stock as a cost-saving exercise and another would ALSO de-stock because of the approaching new technology, leading to twice the de-stocking needed, and therefore a complete absence of probes, leading to slower recoveries for many patients and an increase in cost.

That would imply joined up thinking within the NHS between probe users and administrators, so I doubt it!

Has one of the reasons for the poor figures in the UK been destocking in anticipation?

RNS Number : 1422X / Deltex Medical Group PLC / 4 May 2016

"The TruFlow probe has been used in all new evaluations in the USA since November 2015."

Jolly good. I hope he NHS is getting it, too.

A bit of news this morning, it should help to alleviate some of the usability concerns of the probes that have been raised previously on this BB.

I will attend.

Here's a map for those that are not familiar with the More London area:

If you put your cursor over 2 More London on the left hand tabs, it will highlight the specific building for you.

Nearest underground station is London Bridge.

February the 30th exists!!

February the 30th exists!!

February the 30th exists!!

hxxp://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/julian-gregorian-switch.html

The papal bull issued by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582, decreed that 10 days be dropped when switching to the Gregorian Calendar. However, the later the switch occurred, the more days had to be omitted. (See table below).

This created short months with only 18 days and odd dates like February 30 during the year of the change over.

Well, I never!

I feel that the NHS is unlikely to get better
unless it first gets worse.

Some medical conditions may share these characteristics.

But really do you not think that the top tier are really
unaware of the problems which the NHS faces?
The difficulty is in bringing about change.

Quite clearly throwing money at the problem will not help.
Money must be provided only in response to the changes which are
necessary. It is simply unsatisfactory to talk in terms of generalities
such as increased productivity. This is the consequence of change not the solution.

Sure ...... write a letter if you like

The more on his plate, the better (the pretentious f___)
I agree with Simon Stevens though doglover.
Joking apart I think a "good" letter would help, more than harm, esp. on upward.
Any thoughts?

Simon Stevens is the man to lobby.

Maybe its time to go straight to the top. A letter to Jeremy Hunt.
Maybe worth a bash!

Will the NHS fail under the weight of its own contradictions?

Can the dynamics of the system be summed up as an attempt to help those in its care provided that there is no conflict with the interests of its constituent parts i.e patients are an inconvenience.

Of course it will not fail completely.

However, its sclerotic response to the challenges it faces is certain, in time,
to recommend migration to an alternative system , probably an insurance based one with majority of funding from central government but with contributions from patients. Provision of services would be from a mix of "Academy" hospitals and private ones.
