Q - I really don't think you should be libelling Trustpilot on here. I'd remove that if I were you as it isn't true.

You must stick to facts otherwise you will find yourself in deep trouble.

(Sharecast News) - London stocks edged higher in early trade on Friday, helped along by a few upbeat corporate updates, as investors eyed the release of the latest US non-farm payrolls report.
At 0840 BST, the FTSE 100 was up 0.3% to 7,526.58, while the pound was flat against the euro at 1.1326 and down 0.1% versus the dollar at 1.3559.

On the UK corporate front, British Airways and Iberia owner International Consolidated Airlines Group flew higher after it reported a 75% increase in first-quarter operating profit to €280m.

On the broker note front, Dixons Carphone racked up strong gains as RBC Capital Markets reiterated its 'outperform' rating and upped its price target and estimates for the stock on expectations of a strong fourth quarter and good momentum into the new financial year.

Debenham claimed this listing so they are happy that people can see how appalling their service is.

Really!

Debenhams have got far more dated brands which they are offloading.

As JV sell off their stock Debs other brands will suffer then more empty space which will be difficult to fill.

55% of the younger generation cutting down their driving as fuel costs hit 3 year high.

"Rival motoring group, the AA, said 38 per cent of its members are driving less, or have reduced family spending in recent weeks, as they feel the pinch. This includes 55 per cent of 18 to 24-year-olds."

Happy Bank Holiday enjoy the internet for all your shopping, avoid the High Street with high car parking costs.

Job losses job losses and less money to spend on clothes.

" fashion retailers have faced an extremely tough market. The weather – an unusually warm autumn last year and miserable spring this year – has combined with the squeeze on consumers, the rising cost of labour and imported goods, a continuing switch to online shopping, and a trend for shoppers to spend more on leisure than fashion, to create the harsh retail environment."

I'm no expert, but having DEB shares, keep an eye on posts here. I buy clothes, or attempt to but their stock size range seems to be low in some sizes with not much better experience online. The cafes in their stores have varied in quality and I reckon one growth area is to introduce decent restaurants for decrepid old folk like me who has a need for food more than discounted jackets. Better mens shoe dept would be good. Can you pass the message/request on?

Question for investors. What is the CEO going to do with all this spare space?

There is no shortage of empty shops just about everywhere at the moment the High Street dead!

Another nail in the coffin for Debenhams with their dated department store and the consumers not into fashion anymore.

1,400 jobs at risk.

"People close to the situation said Calvetron's financial performance had been undermined by weak sales at House of Fraser and Debenhams, the department store chains in which around 300 of its concessions trade."

I wonder how much JV owes Debenhams, they will haver to sing for their concession debts.

"The group is a significant womenswear concession retailer in the UK, and trades from department stores Debenhams and House of Fraser. It also has employees in Ireland and Canada."
