I think Ashley is being treated unfairly, the city doesn't like him and its technically discrimination but not in the normal sense of the word.

The evidence there with his failed attempt to get rid of Bucher, the board refused but the banks and creditors managed to get rid albeit with a pay off of £700,000 which should not have been allowed.

But its all down to the "old boys club" which Ashley isn't part of.

But to finish and just to set the record straight, I have no connections whatsoever with Ashley, Sports Direct neither at any time Debenhams nor with any of the shorters.

The saga will no doubt continue and I believe a CVA will be announced very shortly with information on store closures.

Below from the media...what is Debenhams Redesigned strategy?...how to run it to the ground?....carry through the restructuring!!...

He masterminded the 'Debenhams Redesigned' strategy, but the firm struggled amid the weight of its debts and falling sales.

Debenhams said today that Bucher 'has decided to leave the group following its successful refinancing'.

'This will allow new leadership to carry through the restructuring and turnaround of the business.'

A £700,000 pay off for pushing the company in administration is a disgrace and shouldn't be allowed.

Shareholders have lost millions and all due to Bucher's failed strategy.

According to the Daily Express the company is looking for a CVA next week which will mean store closures and job losses.

As the search for a new chief executive began, Mr Duddy said: "Debenhams now has a clear path towards a viable and sustainable future and we have Sergio and his team to thank for that."

Fantastic job!! Ruined many shareholders, reduced pension investments, lost the lot.

Amazing the sheer arrogance.....

Q,

If there is anyone to blame for the administration its Bucher, he failed to go down the CVA route earlier and its misleading to say he has acted in the company best interests he didn't act in the best interests of shareholders:

"Duddy added: 'Debenhams now has a clear path towards a viable and sustainable future and we have Sergio and his team to thank for that.

'With a positive, professional approach, he has acted at all times in the company's best interests, and we wish him all the best for the future.'
Bucher had already been forced off the retailer's board after Mike Ashley staged a coup which ousted him and former chairman Ian Cheshire in January."

Pity holders didn't take notice of my posts neither niggle and a few more they wouldn't have taken a loss.

The company had ample opportunity to cut the dividends sooner and organise a rights issue when the share price was higher. It was blatantly obvious the company had no money to upgrade dated stores and some wouldn't have been worth updating.

He was the wrong man force the job his experience in online.

It really was a sad state of affairs which could have been avoided.

What they needed was an experienced CEO in High Street stores who understood distressed situations.

He should have been sacked a year ago and replaced.

I have no sympathy whatsoever for him having to go he may be resigning but in truth he is probably been forced out by the creditors.

Qantas good morning , I cant wait for the ,"NEW DEBENHAMS ",company to start trading on the stockmarket .

I believe the retail shops on the high street will be in the 22 century , futuristic .
1 massive retail floor.with mezzanine sections above the ground floor all glass .There will be sections of the glass mezzanine floors where you will be able to see right up from the ground floor .

There should be some wonderfull views looking upwards .

Ladies make sure you are wearing your little panties. If you do not the views will be much better .

Ive done the research .
