Picguru, you're probably aware that I would read good news into them being hit by a meteorite so I know you've got your eyes open, I 'd love to think that there 's something in the bid rumour, however am equally hoping the funymentals make it perk up, although I have to say I'm getting twichy, but then what's new?

Why this company persists on making a profit is beyond me.
Don't they know that in the tech & I.T. sector the trick is to turn in a whacking big loss and then your share price is guaranteed to rocket.(Hope value and all that stuff)

I'm really not joking folks.

Take a look at some of the shares we are all holding that haven't a hope in hells chance of EVER making a profit and you'll probably agree.

Greystone, forgive my gross breach of netiquette, I couldn't help myself, the red is my doing, and this is taken from the excllent Greystone column on the dark side..A.

"On the face of it Datrontech (DTR) don't have a lot going for them. They are in a business sector which is notoriously fickle (distribution of computer and network components) where the margins are generally tight and there are a lot of monkeys fighting over the same banana. However, they have their fans and, while profits have been eroded in recent years, turnover has remained reasonably constant. The appointment of a new UK Sales Director earlier this year promises to have improved the top line figures, but how will the accounts fare at the bottom line? There have been rumours of takeovers and liaisons but no positive news to support them. Directors have also been buying shares. It seems to me that the Board would be happy to move on but I can't see them being prepared to let the company go at its present valuation. This suggests to me that there must be something in the pipeline which will enhance the company value, or allow a float off of some of the business. A definite for my Stockwatch although I don't expect the next set of figures to be anything to set the world on fire. Preliminary results were produced in April last year. (N2391633) "

Addo.... Normally I would agree and I may even do so myself, but Datrontech is not showing much sign of anyone knowing a bid is on the table, or waiting to be put on the table, invariably we are quite some way down the list of those to find out about such things, and by the time we do there is usually some confirmation in the price already.

I have heard that there may be an offer on the table at 80p a share. My rumor mill has proved reliable in the past. I however have not as yet put any funds into it.

Unfortunatley not to close to the source. However, the place I got this tip from has never been to far wrong. Last great tip from him was Arthur Shaw, got in at 6p, now 21.5.
I would not bank a fortune on it, but who knows!!!

It sounds like you are unsure of me. You know all I know in regards to the rumour and yes I will be in for a few quid on Monday. I understand that this is one for the brave, but you have to be brave every now and then.
