The dawning of a new era.

Gary: must admit i think the existing thread has been the turning point. No flattery intended...it just seems to have coincided with really good things for DTC.

As I say, I have aired my gripe, and do think others possibly shared my concerns...but even these in their own way are less important now, as we have a far stronger and more independent Board, along with an impressive array of satellite companies under the DCD Banner.

I'm going to desist mentioning the poker unless it comes up with something smelly later, as I've been there, said what i wanted to say, and bought the T-shirt.

It also does NOT account for the fact that CH may have been worried sick about the future, I don't know, we all do some strange things now and again, so perhaps the water under the bridge time should also zeroise the clock with regards to my gripes about CH, and start afresh, as I've never had any doubts about his skills on the production side and perhaps CH will come to life seeing that his best investment is being fully committed to a thriving successful DCD and my support should be forthcoming for that, not based on judging by past situations.

I'd still post negative comments if I thought it warranted it, but the lack of negative posts from me is not a reflection of my change of heart, but in the change of direction of DCD, and I really haven't had much to complain about, as I really like what I'm seeing.

Yes, like others I think I queried the cost of some of the pieces, but quickly cottoned on that the logic employed was better than mine, as it took greater notice of the sum of the parts not being the same as the total value of the completed company.

So all in all, I'm still happy with DCD and it's my share for the year. One that I'm watching, one that I'm in, and one that at every opportune moment, will acquire more (depending on spreads etc.).

I know some shareholders here have lived through many a false dawn with this company, and even the City may be lulled into the sense that this is still a failing company or a no hoper....Thank goodness they still haven't cottoned on fully to the new dynamic company...well not until I've bought my fill!

IJ from your post maybe a suitable name for the new DCD thread "looking forwards not back"

I hope poker does come off as it has the potential to make a good profit, which is my main concern. As long as it doesn't lose money!!

gary. They are going to a have a job. They still only have 21 players out of 50 and that's the update.

To be honest, I don't think it's going to matter to DCD now, bigger fish to fry and all that.

So from what Feb. to June...

The longer the delay the more the embarrassment, and I'm afraid I think that is a good thing for DCD, showing that the best way forward is with DCD for DCD and on behalf of DCD, not little spin offs or gambles.

And if anyone suggests that means wishing DCD loses money, then I'd ask them to address that to A.N.Other, because it must have cost DCD money, or at least lost potential earnings that were reported, so perhaps that could come out of the wages of anyone responsible, plus interest of course.

In the bigger picture it has probably done us all a favour, but is has perhaps dented someone else's ego, as it should do under the circumstances.

To be quite honest I'm surprised the Board allowed someone to stay after that debacle, but hey it looks as though the Board functions on its own DCD agenda now, so water under the bridge and all that and we all make mistakes, including me.

I'm looking forwards rather than backwards, as its a new name, a comparatively new company, and yesterday's foul ups don't need to be tomorrow's, especially when I think the company has evolved into something special.

I guess the BB trades are because a market maker hasn't got enough stock to fill an order so needs to buy from another market maker.

When DCD eventually appears has anybody go any suggestions for a thread title?

Investorjon ... still have my 365,000, but see better opportunities at the moment rather than topping up with this old dinosaur.

My main 3 being ROS .. FAO (as you know) and MDY to 15p

Hear what you say regarding First Africa, but not as risky a punt as last week and a stonking long term hold if you can get more sub 5p. I actually bailed friday night because with all the buying nothing moved therefore didn't want another LGB sceanario with, what appeared to be at the time, large selling in the background. It appears i was wrong with no large trades showing up after hours and managed to get back in yesterday with an average share price of 4.92p. My only hesitancy at the moment is the fund raising issue possibly just around the corner. Your views regarding this item would be appreciated. Damn shame the real FAO thread has been reduced to muppetry :-(

it is Advn plus others, because the symbol has not updated dynamically. This is why so many are getting no trades on the DTC symbol. It works OK in Ample, but you have to physically delete your old stock from portfolio and replace it as a new stock with the new DCD.L symbol.

If you search on ADVN using DCD.L it doesn't show up.

Just spoke to DCD (formerly known as DTC), and the LSE. The problem has nothing to do with DCD or the LSE, but it is down to individual sites not having updated their systems.

Not my comment, but from HQ and LSE.

Look let's criticise DCD when we know it's them, but on the first day after a name change its more than likely the MMs and the LSE not updating.

Yes, this company's had its share of cra* management, but I do think we are over the worst and building a solid foundation for a good company.

I bought yesterday on DTC just in case of a problem, but even then it showed as a sale.

Good luck all
