24/2/2006 18:41 | Jabber: Its difficult now because I honestly can't knock the acquisitions, and I'm happy to be cynical about things that really concern me but I won't try and orchestrate them, as irrespective of what some may have thought, I'm up front but totally honest and I don't intentionally ramp or deramp, as this day trading lark isn't for me. It should at least demonstrate that my concerns were genuine, and perhaps others may now feel similar in retrospect, i.e. the debacle of the poker, an unnecessary attempt to syphon something thought to be too valuable for DTC to own...but that is, as they say water under the bridge, and I would think in retrospect it has damaged someone else's credibility rather than mine, as my concerns seem not only to have materialised, but demonstrably so. Perhaps though that could be a lesson that if attention is focused on DCD, the rewards far outweigh trying to make a 'bit on the side'. I think that the company is a meaner (and soon to be leaner) company, and I'm not going to criticise it unless the need arises, and so far it hasn't....but the results are soon aren't they? Looking good though. | investorjon
24/2/2006 17:54 | IJ when I say 'evolved' I just meant that however much I used to find some of your critical analysis rather annoying I miss your hard cynical approach particularly in light of the current activity. | jabberstocky

24/2/2006 13:09 | There are changes that are taking place and progress in share price will come but only after consolidation. On CH, I think he needs to go or to get some help. This should be a 3/4p share. | k123
22/2/2006 23:00 | Jabber: Not really correct. I've always stayed on the DTC because of its potential. I haven't evolved....the company has. My 'evolution' has still to take place...take my wife's word for it! The company has much to do, but I really like what I see. This is hardly a ramp either, as I made these comments known at the new year. If the progress made here continues, then it would not surprise me to see this 4x its current level, but I won't put a price on the sp, as I still reckon the shareholding will be consolidated. | investorjon
22/2/2006 22:57 | Phantom: I can answer your question exactly: whatever another company or shareholder is prepared to pay for it. I think the shrewd DE part of the formulae was the fact that the parts looked expensive in some areas, but the sum of the parts is in multiples to what was paid for them, as we have a complete company now. Do expect to see a culling soon though or a sale...MusicSuite has no real place if its not earning. We have bigger fish to fry, and a lot of those fish Gary has posted about. Increasing bandwith, and competitors fighting to dislodge Apple, mean that good content producers have the whip hand. And DCD can do it all. And CH's realm is on the wane, and unlike a few years ago when he could not be challenged, because basically he was DTC...producing etc. That is no longer the case. I think his job as CEO either goes, or he signs a contract restricting himself solely to DCD, as we have no more time for games, no more time for poker tricks, we want a dedicated Board....but dedicated to DCD not being sidetracked. The alternative is to ensure CH and the other Board members see that their best interests are served by making this a fantastically profitable company, which it can be, and if that means profit related pay, so be it. But I still think CH is damaged goods, and it must be clear to all that the company's new stature is not the work of CH. | investorjon
22/2/2006 16:44 | Evening all Well I reckon probably every trade today, and many of yesterday's, was a buy. IJ: I am not an accounts minded type person, and can't even guess an approx sum of the parts valuation of the new group. In your view, what do you think the company is currently worth - even if it only achieved a break-even set of figures? Thanks in anticipation F4 | phantomf4
22/2/2006 16:37 | IJ - to use my son's pokemon terminology - you have certainly "evolved". | jabberstocky

22/2/2006 13:22 | The current rises are nothing to write home about. The real action starts 1p plus, or after consolidation (even though it may tip the share lower). We just need a litte bit more evidence now that the dross is being cleared out, and the blue will not be .1p but multiples, as the share price is based on an old decrepid DTC, whereas the new 'beast' looks like a dynamic company, makes programs like a dynamic company and hopefully will make profits like a dynamic company. I gave this as my share for 2006 and I think many thought I was nuts. Well, they were right on that part I suppose, but I still think it may be the year that it comes of age. | investorjon

21/2/2006 22:12 | It's all looking very very good imho. DTC seem to be pulling together the right components at a time when content is facing increasing demand from TV, mobile and broadband providers who need punters to subscribe to their services. It's also a time when the success of downloading platforms like iTunes will move from pure audio to audio visual. Especially as NTL are now trialling 100 Mbit broadband which means you can download a movie in the time it takes to make a cup of tea. It's the same scenario Sky went through in that they needed content (football) to secure subscribers. They are largely responsible for all the money sloshing around the premiership today. The Skys of tomorrow will be responsible for the money sloshing around the coffers of companies like DTC. As always though nobody really knows what exactly the "expectations" we are ahead of, so I guess we have to wait for results (and beyond) before opening up the Dom. I also think it will take a while for the acquisitions to be properly integrated and the bits that don't seem to fit (Music Suite) sold on. I also wouldn't be surprised to see another acquisition and of course a consolidation. All in all it's starting to look like forget the width feel the quality!!! Better in than out. | garysmith7
