13/12/2005 22:43 | garysmith7, I put the chart in as an example of a long term chart. I use charts but only when they 'marry' up with fundamentals. It is often a pointless exercise to do technical analysis on small caps as they often fluctuate wildly. Having said that, what I hope the chart means is that we have stopped a longterm downtrend. If this is so, then we could have a time of consolidation before perhaps moving up. This is all of course 'pie in the sky' but it is what I wish would happen! The price of DC will only go up if they prove that they are delivering rather than 'jam tomorrow'. This will then reflect in the charts. As clear as mud then! Still holding and waiting. 13/12/2005 19:52 | ursamajorra, I will add a long term chart IJ, I can put a tracker on the thread but people can still hide behind a proxy IP address to disguise their true identity or increase their security settings unless there is another way? Alternatively I could add a tracker and give everyone access to the results. With no tracker visitors won't feel so restricted about visiting so it may be best to keep it that way. vimalgrover I'm not into TA, is that chart indicating a turning point? | garysmith7
13/12/2005 12:06 | new thread; technical analysis - how things change. Has DTC changed? I dunno. | jabberstocky

13/12/2005 10:09 | Gary: As a request can you do something to protect this thread from multiple identity posters. It's something I have been accused of in the past, but I do think that a site is much better if all those on it can be seen to be posting in their own right, rather than multiple identities, which I'm sure happens. Some may suggest it would be an infringement of civil liberties, but for me I would prefer to know who is or is not posting and that the thread is 'policed' as far as postings are concerned. I know it's not directly on topic with regards to DTC, but I do think it helps give a thread credibility if those posting can only do so in the one name. I asked if that was possible ages ago on the previous thread as I certainly feel it would clear up who's who. | investorjon
13/12/2005 10:08 | A blind chap drove, what can only be called, a blinder of a lap in the reasonably priced car on Top Gear. It was astonishing - very impressive; analogous perhaps to our retail punter stumbling in the dark that is DTC. Off to the new thread now. | jabberstocky
13/12/2005 09:37 | I think it will deliver its just how long it takes is teh unknown. | garysmith7

13/12/2005 00:13 | IPTV is starting to demanding content and deals are being struck, which is good news for companies with content like DTC. BT signs content deals with BBC, Paramount, Warner for IPTV British Telecom (BT) today announced that it has signed content deals with BBC Worldwide, Paramount and Warner Music Group for BT's forthcoming IPTV service. Currently scheduled for launch in the fall of 2006, BT's TV over broadband service will bring on-demand video, music and TV programming to customers' televisions over BT's broadband network. BT announced in October that the IPTV service will be available to BT broadband customers without an additional fee. BT has also recently announced agreements with Philips to supply the set-top box and Microsoft to provide the software platform for the service. Trials of BT's IPTV service are scheduled to start in spring or early summer of next year. | garysmith7

12/12/2005 23:56 | Looking at the news on Box TV website I wonder how far they are with Wind in the Willows as it looks like a major production. I wonder if the £4 Million has already been covered. News Article Detail 23/07/2004 22:21:37 Box and BBC unveil plans for Wind In The Willows As published in Broadcast today, Box TV is developing an ambitious £4m adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's classic children's story Wind in the Willows. The 2x60' programme for BBC1 will use state-of-the-art prosthetics, animatronics and CGI to bring the story's much-loved animal characters to the screen. | garysmith7
12/12/2005 23:48 | Given the recent acquisitions and the age of the old thread, I thought it about time we had a new one. I have added the various division logo's and linked them to the homepage. Reduced the graphs to 6 months as the large trades around March made the volume graph pointless. Updated the latest news and newsletter links. Any suggestions/comments on the header welcome. | garysmith7 |
