Ridiculous selling by day-traders bringing the price down. Good year-end results just posted. The price should be rising. People with no sense are selling either because of other company's poor performance or to make a few pounds every time the price rises by 10p. Get a grip and let the price rise and reflect the profitability of this company

Tong - your welcome to your views and you should take whatever position you feel is advantageous to you at the time. You clearly have time to trade so good luck to you. I'm an investor and when I see a strong company with a depressed share price I see value and invest accordingly. You post deserved the comment as you put forward a highly subjective scenario that I disagreed with.

Just read in IC that Ryanair are having to cutback flights next summer due to delayed delivery of 737max.
So decided to push the buy button on dtg but had to reduce to 1000 as 2000 could not be filled online. Very surprised. Maybe mms nervous it was a sell order not buy. Interesting

Imbecile Tongo tends to confuse share price action with biz fundamentals, which makes him dangerous to himself and others. As we say about TCG, AVOID.

Shall I do like you did and rubbish your comment? Of course not - you're entitled to a different view pal. Re fundamentals - they are a fluid quantity, not fixed in stone. They typically reflect the past, not the future necessarily. I also tend to believe that long term DTG has a v good chance of becoming even more successful than it has been. However, if between now and then, Mr Market has serious doubt re speed of growth (and associated costs) then I would happy oblige. First by going short - which is what I did yesterday. After all, the opportunity to load up at (say, for the sake of the argument) 500p and selling at 1000p is a much better proposition (to me anyways) then buying at 1000p, seeing it go down by half before it goes back to the same old 1000p. Good luck

Fundamentals exceptionally strong, show me another Travel company that's growing at the same rate. Macro issues with Fuel, Brexit, Pricing

Director selling has spooked the market and gave an opportunity for Mr Market to drive the price down.

I've added at 788 strong support 750 but upside significant

I mentioned probability as that's what one deals in pal not certainties. You are happy to stay put and wait it out. Whatever rocks your boat. I don't rubbish whatever decision you take w your own money. Happy if you are !

In other words, everything is in the price and the price stalling for a year may very well be a precursor of an immediate leg down which will catch many by surprise. - Rubbish

Been pretty woeful nearly for 3 months.. Over the years we have had periods like this.. Really don't think short is wise.. But there is obviously something spooking people..

If DRG experiences a) another down day + b) on elevated volumes + c) being a poor relative performer (today only DTG is in the red) vs wider sector, it will only mean one thing, in all probability: that Mr Market has already discounted very well in advance recently released results and only a positive surprise will do from here on. Otherwise one cannot rationally explain the latest rounds of results (from late last year until most recent one) failing to propel shares higher. In other words, everything is in the price and the price stalling for a year may very well be a precursor of an immediate leg down which will catch many by surprise. PS. Trying to stay as flexible as possible and equally willing to go long - if stars align that way - but as of now this seems to be the proverbial run for cover time.

of course flying 100 planes x 4 sectors you get an issue or two but jet2 are the best performing uk airline inc RYAN and EZY by a massive margin.
As for time issues again we are the stand out again by a huge margin.
We have standby aircraft covering all bases

Jet2 are doing ok but they are not immune from a difficult market. They have had a fair share of operational troubles this season with occasional cancelled and very late flights and subbed flights perhaps not of the usual standard expected by their customers.

I have not heard anything, and see no reason to take chips off the table at this stage.
There will be at least a million tcg customers up for grabs next season as confidence is lost in them.

I think its heads down and keep doing things right.
The effects of the new planes capacity and lower operational costs will help mitigate some of the other headwinds.

Jet2 is becoming the dominant force in the sector.

I wonder if we are about to place another aircraft order ( I feel its due this year )

Most satisfied customer base in the UK, growing share of the market, huge growth channels, excellent leadership, PE of 8.8. PEG of 0.2. ROE of 21% etc etc. No way I'm selling a single share of this fantastic company, intend to hold Dart indefinitely.

Just in case anyone might be fooled by his BS, beware: Tongo is a terrible investor who consistently loses money. Toxic mix of arrogance and ignorance. Best just to ignore him if you value your wealth.

Case study: Tongo blowing up in Velocys. [These are all real posts from the thread, look them up].

September 2014, Velocys share Price 236p (at all time high): TONGOSTI: "I reckon the sky is the limit for Velocys but patience is needed. I wouldn't be surprised to see Velocys do an ASOS in the next 10 years or so considering the size of the prize."

Share price 186p: October 2014: TONGOSTI: "Consider that current market cap is less than £300mln at the moment and the above back of the pack calculations go to show the gigantic business potential of VLS. Hold on to your underwear fellas!"

SP 150p December 2014: TONGOSTI: "nothing has changed. The company is getting ever stronger to the big prize. Sit tight and be patient fellas".

SP 90p July 2015: TONGOSTI: "my average is 140p and I am not happy at all but I was very well aware from the very off to risk my position here as there is never a guarantee with new tech companies. However, I hope VLS will somehow pull this off. That's why I will give the company another 12 months time. If things go belly up, ah well c'est la vie!!"

SP 70p August 2015: TONGOSTI: "Keep the faith fellas - the world has not come to an end. The technology is still promising".

SP 85p October 2015: TONGOSTI: "Volumes tell you a lot about the demand for shares. Nothing to note at the moment. Consequently, I wouldn't read too much into current price advances (may I add that this is coming from someone who is long VLS)"

SP 47p November 2015: TONGOSTI: "First thing this morning I bailed out completely. Ah dear, what a disaster VLS has been!"
