20/5/2002 21:28 | an after hours trade done at $3.73 | easykill
20/5/2002 21:28 | I'm not too clued up when it comes to charts, and am not very familiar with the Thomson site, but the thomson chart appears to indicate heavy sell orders in the face of a rising price. Would the fact that the price still regained ground discourage any short sellers? | ![]() xale
20/5/2002 21:20 | I think the interesting thing about the above breakdown of todays trades is the 47% Non-I watch today, this is a very high percentage. Anyone care to hazard a view - I think it implies that todays trades were untypical to say the least. | ![]() miata
20/5/2002 21:16 | Easykill thanks for your considered thoughts hoping to sleep better tonight and a heartfelt thankyou for all the symphathetic longs. | ![]() sigora
20/5/2002 21:12 | sigora from the yahoo bb it looks like the shorters have closed and left. Its gone pretty quiet over there. I believe many (if not all) closed around $3 and then moved onto their next kill. Its very eery over there at the moment, only a dozen or so posts in the last hour. The bears have stopped posting altogether which gives the indication they have closed and moved on. | easykill
20/5/2002 21:08 | Do you think the shorters have left? if so will the price run up till the con call on thursday? waiting for all honest predictions. | ![]() sigora
20/5/2002 21:06 | oak: but its peers like ikon and xerox have p/e of over 22 and danky surely appears fundamentally better so why should it not be rated in same way reg jag | ![]() psychicdoc
20/5/2002 21:05 | ended $3.60 - $3.62 uk equivalent : 61.5p - 62p what a day | easykill
20/5/2002 20:59 | Is it the right time to use p/e ratio to value danky and can assume no further growth in net income? NOT! Because, Danka generated net income from continuing operations of only $0.004 per ADS in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2002, in one year = $0.016 (assume growth never happen hahahaha :-)) Danky price at the moment around $3.50 means the p/e ratio is 219, that will be too much. Many companies will have value based on future outlook and other fndamentals criteria than stand alone p/e. Will you also value LMC based on p/e ? | oaklandsway
20/5/2002 20:17 | LOL......is that why it goes up and down a lot......great analysis.. | ![]() forfaiter
20/5/2002 20:11 | remember guys this is a fairly illiquid stock hence prone to volatility have faith the fundamentals can not be altered, and patience is the key, wait and see | ![]() psychicdoc
20/5/2002 20:05 | the scaremongerers on yahoo board have gone quiet. looks like they have done the business, close their positions and off to their next kill. psychicdoc, i believe ff is shorting the stock but would like to hear it from his own mouth. He isnt admitting it for some reason. As if he is embarrassed to say so. | easykill
20/5/2002 19:57 | The bashers gone in US when they got at around $3, they may come back to pick some more shares later this evening. Tell me during fiscal year 2001/2002 (Q1 to Q4), when can you see Danka go up after earning? Non! When most of us do not know exactly the fair value, then shorters & rampers will play the news & analysis for their advantages. I am in for long because I want to see the real test of £1. Take advantage if you can but no need to bash or moan. | oaklandsway
20/5/2002 19:54 | easykill: do you doubt that ff is shorting, off course he is, when he was a holder he was all ga ga about the stock now that he is shorting it he is desperately all over the us boards as well trying to scaremonger the weak and poor simple investors in losing their hard earned money, shame on him | ![]() psychicdoc
20/5/2002 19:50 | This is starting to look like a case of scare tactics in the US today. Start a panic sell-off in the morning and buy it all back cheaply in the afternoon. A close near the open will be good news IMHO. | smoketrader
20/5/2002 19:49 | forfaiter did you short danka ? if so have you closed your position now ? | easykill
20/5/2002 19:45 | PLEASE let this board go back to the standard it was pre-results. At the moment we are no better than the yahoo board. | ![]() sigora
20/5/2002 19:39 | Not smirking....... But I say it as I see it.....regardless of the popular consensus....anyone who followed my comments...would have made money.... The banter is directed at a few clowns...they know who they are.... | ![]() forfaiter
20/5/2002 19:36 | solis ... :-)) EasyKill ... I am on holiday abroad Sigora .... I am on your side | oaklandsway
20/5/2002 19:30 | The fair value is 53p per share or at market cap of £127 million when the available cash is $50 million. It is a world wide company (one of the biggest in the sector), no cash burning, debt reducing & the ebitda is more than $100 million). Wake up, Danka is real company with huge turnover. They suffered from huge debt but will be released from it soon. Paying debt is better than paying interest forever. Wake up, selling Danka international could pay the debt plus some convertible, but not right time to sell it yet. | oaklandsway
20/5/2002 19:24 | forfaiter well done you called it right this time, but you should learn to be gracefull you shouldnt be smirking when people are losing thier hard earned money just to talk about myshelf since i left college i started work in a textile mill, i dont know if you have ever been in one but these are old decrepid places where people slog thier guts seven days a week for lessthan £300 a week i myshelf have been in this mill for 17years. I want a better life for my wife and kids so i decided to invest in the stock market with limited sucsess i have invested an awful lot in this stock and my losses are steep i am sure there are other people who are in the same boat, i knew full well when investing in stocks you should be prepared to lose everthing, so i do not want your symphathy so PLEASE dont gloat causethis is REALLY HURTING. | ![]() sigora
20/5/2002 19:23 | oak you in the US or the UK ? | easykill
20/5/2002 19:22 | Doc and Oaks, Maybe ff should look at as he might learn that if you flush all you get is your own dirt back Price now $3.55 and still rising with high volume. Anyone knw where I can get trades going through ?? | solis
20/5/2002 19:12 | Hi Oaks i wish i was over their i would have bought as well and i also would let it ride up to £1.00 | ![]() chestnuts |
