I'd say that "uniquely suited" is pretty clear. ie.....technically superior without material peers.Of course if remains to be seen if that can be turned into cash.....but its better than having inferior tech!

The PowerPoint orders :-) I doubt anyone believes a word this lot say. Could be another distribution relationship worth ten tenths of nothing again.

Maybe it will be one of those Cronin specials... you know the ones... the "orders" which don't actually put any cash in the bank. The revenue forecast will be met of course... it has to be... the bonuses depend on it.

If Cyan's solutions are UNIQUELY suited, this would imply the competitor Cyan "displaced" was not actually suitable in the first place!?

If we have indeed displaced Silver Spring, then it is a massive vote of confidence.

In cost insensitive countries (relatively speaking) like UAE, I would imagine that they would place an emphasis on reliability and future proof technical specifications meeting high global standards.

Also though the CYAN emphasis so far has been on smart metering for electricity, we do have the products and technical ability to deliver on gas and water metering as well. So given the pressure on water resources in the dry parts of the Middle East, we could find ourselves possibly getting involved in these areas as well ? Just a thought....all very interesting :)

Hi cpapman,

My gut feeling (nothing more) is that we could possibly make $5-8 per meter with these distribution agreements in Phillipines/UAE/Bahrain (when compared to about $25-30 I am led to believe that we make per meter over a 5 year period for smart meters in places like India).

Maintenance agreements are in the range of $2 per meter/year it would seem after the 5 yr period....so in these Phillipines and UAE/Bahrain agreement could be about 50 cents/each/year possibly ?

Another thought multibagger is that even if these DA's made CYAN self financing with enough left over to go and pursue certain other lucrative deals that would be no bad thing eh?
