What's with these consultancy fees? Is JC PAYE staff or some sort of subject matter expert contract consultant? If the latter then why has this contract not been terminated years ago? If the former then what is going on with these consultancy fees? It's all too self serving IMO and not transparent enough. Not in the interests of PIs.

....but maybe we should cut John Cronin some slack because he really doesn't get much of a salary at cyan (£12,000) you'll understand.....instead getting paid in shares....so he's really in this with you, the PI....(well, no salary to speak of.....apart from the odd consultancy fee, and the odd bonus, of course...

..and in any case, why would a decent company making money (or about to make money) need to go into a grotty office with a fake plant to tell the world. surely they'd just get on with it..??

....would you buy a used car from this man?

He's a good talker, I'll give him that. Middle name should be rhetoric....or rhetorick.

...it's certainly thrown off some 'oooge' revenues for you, John.

watch from 8.40......"for the shareholders, it's a good future".

...video posted in 2012........that's five years ago, John. And since then your shareholders have been shafted.

...the game's up.....you've lost the confidence of the market. But I'm sure you'll spin something out there when the coffers begin to dry up....and simon smith goes ferreting for the begging bowl

...imo they'll win an order just before issuing shares....'funds needed to show suitable financial strength to win the rest of the order'....or some similar tripe.

..It'll happen.

mark my words....

I would not let him advise on as much as a church fete. Should have been fired years ago IMO instead of being allowed to milk this for hundreds of thousands. 10 Downing Street might need top global business advisers and given their record of lurching from failure after failure could be a good fit :-)

Time to wake up and smell the roses.

JC has been a financial disaster, and people thought Ken was a dreamer.

This "World Class" innovator company needs a serious cull from the top down.

Time to get real about actual money in the bank sales, take a knife to all the superfluous waste and non profitable use of shareholder resources, including management that cannot lead from the front, and demonstrate their value to the company.

I say reward on achievement not failure, JC's huge salary and share options would be far better spent on recruiting some real connected go getters, and closers.

Feed the greedy not the needy.....I do not care how well people are rewarded, just as long as they have earned it. That is business!

If our tech is as good and competitive as they have been telling us, then based on results they do not deserve to be leading this company.

I see this one is struggling.

Must hold this level for double bottom technical.

If it breaks further down , how much could it fall? Unknown territory!

All is well... Cyan (the self proclaimed world leader) recognises that whilst the opposition are winning orders, the Cyan offerings are simply "better". World domination cannot simply be measured in terms of company transforming orders and meaningful revenue generation. Self awarded bonuses however are another thing entirely in maintaining that sad illusion...

Have we won any of the opportunities we had 50% chance of winning or did we draw the wrong 50% and lose? Was it 50% because there were only two parties involved?

Come on cyan. Let's hear some positive and upbeat stuff about underpriced, undervalued, pipeline chocker full of opportunities that won't be delivered, sliced bread etc.

"Also has £5.5m cash balance + they£re expecting another £1.3m in the 1H from R&D tax credits eg enough to cover FY18£s anticipated loss"

CyanConnode (Corp 100p)
Announced delayed delivery on one of their major project orders they were expecting to deliver last financial year
Will now fall into the current financial year
We cut rev from £2.1m to £1.2m for FY17
PBT goes from -£9.9m to -£10.4m
Disappointing as they£ve been expecting for many months
Recall these contracts are large infrastructure deployments £ this particular one is in Bangladesh via meter provider NIK
However, the customer has assured Cyan that it remains committed to using its tech in this and other major projects£
£plus they£re sitting on $100m order book and an even larger $320m pipeline
Also has £5.5m cash balance + they£re expecting another £1.3m in the 1H from R&D tax credits eg enough to cover FY18£s anticipated loss

Those amounts are obscene. This just reinforces my belief this is a gravy train. No one should be paid that for the never ending failure we see at cyan. I could just about support the £12,000 a year but no more than that based upon performance. What the hell is that bonus paid for? Do these guys get rewarded based upon how poorly they perform?

I'm just perusing last year's Annual Report....and in particular the renumeration pages (32 - 34).

hxxp://cyanconnode.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/CyanConnode-ARA-2016-Web-Version.pdf

Payments to directors are being made in cash, in kind, via options/shares, annual bonuses and earnings via consultancy fees.

Anyone looking at this company should be looking at the above pages.

Very surprised CYAN did not get marked down a lot more today on the back of the RNS.
ENET came out with same messaging as CYAN and got crucified by 37.7%

Albeit watching CYAN with interest.
As always DYOR

Did these guys actually make real £££; in their pockets from these option exercises? Anyone? If they did then this is well and truly one seriously messed up gravy train of a company. Imagine having a job like that where you can make money by failing. Mere mortals in lowly positions would be sacked.
