02/6/2020 10:57 | @Wbodger - Good point - what do they do with DLAR, and the long-term trend is still for the world to use less cash. | apollocreed1
02/6/2020 10:50 | Imo it is because DLAR is up a lot but that doesn't necessarily translate into CRS value right away. DLAR spiked on a short squeeze, so it will probably retrace somewhat, meanwhile CRS has nearly 20% of equity but unless there is a takeover it's hard to see what Bernstein does with it, and therefore how directly the DLAR re-rate translates to CRS. CRS is highly illiquid anyway. | wbodger
02/6/2020 10:32 | I'm a bit puzzled by this Crystal Amber spread on the shares. Buy price is 94p and sell price is 80p, which means your down 15% as soon as you buy the shares. Has the spread always been so large or is it just large now because the price has been moving up quickly? What is the usual spread if not so large? | apollocreed1
02/6/2020 08:22 | Another good day for CRS. Reckon HUR could do a bounce once seller has gone. 9p looks possible by the chart, but be careful with that seller.( Pelham ?). Worth a small risk, IMO. CRS last report quoted 54.9p for HUR and the oil price is rising. You just need patience. DDDD. | dandadandan
01/6/2020 20:26 | Well i had a look at Hur today, what if the oil price recovers? It seems to have some cash , which provides a cushion. But i also recognized some risks to, helpfully pointed out by others. Thats what this game is about, judging risk reward. So i allocated a small gamble to it. I wont be losing any sleep | escapetohome
01/6/2020 20:07 | Their DLAR certainly had a good day. Best not to look at HUR tho. | spectoacc
01/6/2020 18:28 | NAV £1.30++ share price 74p. Time for some action. Tick this UP. DDDD. | dandadandan
22/5/2020 07:15 | HUR - another CRS "winner". Really is all on ALM! | spectoacc
01/4/2020 07:26 | DLR another whopping 30% down at c 60p in the last fortnight. | quepassa
19/3/2020 09:11 | And still they buy back shares. You couldn't make it up. | spectoacc
13/3/2020 07:33 | Indeed. Haven't got time to work it out but roughly for example... DLAR was approx 140p at end of Feb last month. Today it is around 90p. DLAR has fallen 35% in the rout. This means that the month end val of the DLAR holding of 26.2p is now probably around c 17p. DLAR alone would have possibly wiped 9p off the NAV of CRS since month-end according to my rough calculations. Your point about the oil price slump is very pertinent. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
13/3/2020 07:18 | 133p on 29th Feb - what is it now, a quid? Does eg HUR have any value at all with oil this low? DLAR? That's the top 2! | spectoacc
04/3/2020 14:59 | Disastrous half-year results in my view. Their performance against the benchmark Numis Small Cap Index is absolutely woeful. Heads have rolled for less. It seems to me that they need to turn their own Activist process in on themselves and sort out their own house first before pointing the finger at the management and performance of their targets. Why so many bad picks? ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
26/2/2020 08:11 | Another 60k bought by the co yesterday at 104.5p. Once again, they're the only buyer (in size). | spectoacc
25/2/2020 16:27 | As I said - if you like DLAR, buy DLAR. CRS isn't "DLAR at a discount", it's DLAR diluted by some tosh - HUR, NTG & more. IMO. I'm big into my favourite - ALM - but wouldn't buy CRS just because it holds ALM. | spectoacc
25/2/2020 12:18 | I think this is being hammered as it is perceived to be another woodford, but the main holdings are not so bad and have also been hammered, this may not be the bottom but its time to accumulate a few while all the pensioners are bailing out ... | catsick
25/2/2020 08:16 | DLAR does seem positive - but in which case, buy DLAR! ALM, NTG, HUR, EQLS all looking poor. 104p a better price than recently tho - good luck. | spectoacc
25/2/2020 08:14 | Buying smalls at 104 , de la rue may be turning the corner here ... | catsick
24/2/2020 07:34 | Yup: "..on Friday 21 February 2020 the Company purchased 25,000 of its own ordinary shares of 1p each ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 106p per share". The only buyer of CRS is....CRS. | spectoacc
21/2/2020 11:12 | Odds on that being yet another 25k bought by the co at 106p today? Pretty high, I'd say. Easy work for the MMs. | spectoacc
20/2/2020 08:41 | Once again, only the buyback (another 50k yesterday) keeping it above £1. Biggest 5 again as per end-Jan: DLAR 23p per share HUR 22p EQLS 20p NTG 17p ALM 17p ALM should be up a bit, DLAR well down. GI dynamics (73% held) was next largest at 8.8p. Charts on all those worth a glance - ALM chart skewed by 12p XD, but the other 4 are dogs. | spectoacc
19/2/2020 11:54 | @frazboy - also the "RNS" on Federated Wireless yesterday (hardly deserved one). ALM periodically my largest holding, tho it's the only one I agree with CRS on. Assume CRS used a portion of their ALM divi to buy more - but clearly needed most of it elsewhere. [Edit - @catsick - worth remembering the ongoing charges at CRS are over 3%. OK when things are working...]. | spectoacc
19/2/2020 11:52 | Thanks Specto, didn't notice the Holding RNS on ALM - probably the reason for the uptick in the share price there | frazboy
19/2/2020 08:11 | Every time I think that, I look at the holdings! DLAR needs to do something fast, or they'll be in rescue rights territory. Can CRS afford to back a rescue rights? DLAR £1.40 on Friday, £1.15 today. HUR isn't bouncing (15p), NTG is a dog (286p), I personally like ALM a lot and CRS have added, but I'd much rather own ALM than CRS. EQLS has had a few pence dcb but is in the "may/may not" category. So NAV lower, CRS share price lower, but still no catalyst to want to buy. Discount needs to widen, not stay the same due to the holdings dropping as fast as CRS's s/p. | spectoacc
19/2/2020 07:51 | Clearly a dog but getting down to the point where it gets interesting.... | catsick |
