Well, looks like most of the world has been reducing CRDA for years. And now only uncertainty ahead on outlooks. Demotion is a strong possibility. Only needs to fail finding funds at one more lower block, and demotion is highly likely in the future

I don't really short stocks as I hold for the long term and as netcurtains said for the dividend.
But when geopolitics are not clear as we are now, I have a tendency to reduce my positions - just in case there is major correction to buy back cheaper.

fuji99: Against that view you DEFINITELY lose between 8% to 10% if you sell FTSE100 stuff like LGEN, MNT, PHNX ABDN as they pay monster dividend yields...

Shares tend to come back up again but once you've lost the dividend you cant get it back....

I was surprised to see CRDA get involved in AIM stock Shenanigans. But now seeing it down 70% in no time here, it is probably prudent pension planning

Now wondering which post to believe lol

Yes Nobby has no interest in CRDA at all. True

Just here for the AIM blag - the usual

#Fuji99, the USD/GBP FX could present headwinds, but it was 1.24:1 and the same as it was 12 months ago, the GBP has strengthened recently off a 1.21 low last month but only 3% ..

The GBP/EUR has gained 3%, small fluctuations and they will impact, but not a whole lot compared to FY2023..

The chemical sector does use a great deal of energy to make products and power is expensive, how far out CRDA are hedged I do not know but it will impact the bottom line as renewals are bought..

Tariff threats weighing heavy on everything right now selling into the US..

Wage rises, the NICS hike to 15% have yet to impact, I am waiting for results and outlook 25th, but soon as the floor is in and the outlook brightens, then build a position, waiting a while has proven (so far) to be the better strategy, the share price is tracking EL, the 5 year chart is a mirror of it..

Also following VCT, decent results pre Xmas, dividend maintained, the share price spiked but now pulling back towards their lows again, another power hungry business..

#Rogue trader, it is very interesting how EL / CRDA charts overlay, with their share price directions pegged together, cosmetics are a big buyer for our products..

Waiting for FY2024 results 27th and the outlook / 2025 guidance may be well advised before going in too hard here..

Beauty firm Estee Lauder has revealed it is more than doubling job cuts to as many as 7,000 worldwide as part of a cost-saving overhaul as it braces for tariff increases amid fears of a global trade war sparked by US President Donald Trump.

The group behind well known beauty brands Estee Lauder, MAC, Clinique and Jo Malone said it plans to ramp up job losses from 3,000 to between 5,800 and 7,000 as it seeks to drive increased savings of up to USD1BN, profits tumbled citing weak product demand in Asia/Korea..

The Beauty Reimagined strategy could also be the bottom for EL to turn around its costs but the possibility of tariffs and trade wars will impact their export markets until that issue is resolved..

Still seems like it's heading to 3000 before results, what happens after will be very interesting and see where they go on the dividend if the 25 year unbroken record of growth is maintained..Taking time here building a position, energy has not got any cheaper and they use a lot of it hurting profits..

3200 and under here today with the dividend yield picking up at 3.4% now, perhaps 3000 will be here before the TU 25.02.2025..?

Still waiting to add, but has to be getting closer now, the 30 years record of maintaining raised dividends is attractive with income for life..

CRDA seems to be tracking the GSK 12 month chart trend like for like, largely down to the vaccine / lipid arm of the businesses, quite possibly linked to the US health story and minister driving policy going forward..

CRDA is better diversified, looks good value at 3400 pence and 3.2%, ignoring the CV19 spike the share price is back where it was in 2016, it was also around 5000 pence before the pandemic sell off..

2024 - Q1/2/3 group level sales have been negative -0.25% per quarter, with growth in life sciences of +2% QonQ..

Is this the turning point for entry, the 5 year trend ex CV19 has been negative, 5000 down to 3400 today..?
