Take a look at INSG perhaps?
I don't know if it would fulfil your criteria or not but I am interested.

Can’t compete with zho but my top rec would be Renew RNWH which steadily progresses in doing the dirty engineering work for infrastructure industries - largely must-have work. However they are UK only and hardy high growth.
Could look at Gooch & Housego, lasers, optics and electronics, seems to be doing the right things and could become a tasty morsel for one of the big boys.

Countryman5,

I think I first read about LOAD in one of Simon Thompson's pieces, and he recently recommended a not dissimilar business, Ashtead Technology, a fast-growing offshoot of Ashtead, which rents out equipment to support installation and decommissioning of offshore energy infrastructure, both wind turbines, and oil and gas.

Having touched 355p after an upbeat TU in mid-January, the shares pulled back following a placing of 19% of the Company at 310p by the previous private equity owners.

2022 revenues are now expected increase by 30%, and upgraded forecasts for 2023 put the Company on a PE of roughly 12.8p (at 302p), with Simon T reckoning that “the earnings upgrade cycle has further to run”.

Cash arriving in the next fortnight, which will be looking for a home.
I am looking for AIM stock (IHT advantage, unless chancellor removes it). I am seeking a home that has growth potential in a global market and must have the Warren Buffet 'economic moat'. I would value suggestions.

Lights out. Sorry to see Northbridge go. Its been a great investment, in and out since 2006. Suprisingly good end result considering the mess they made of oil services, diverging from their loadbank core competency.

Took mine off the table a few weeks ago after seeing that they were buying shares in all companies under offer so obviously nothing around mounting a compete bid.

Twas a gamble but had more than made up the few pence in the increase on paper in that time.

So I see!

Samson Rock clearly didn't vote against - so I wonder why they were keenly buying at 399 as late as Friday. Surely not for 2p (0.5%) - for which they will have to wait another month.

There has - just 2 minutes before you posted:

Crestchic is pleased to announce that, at the Court Meeting and General Meeting held earlier today in connection with the Acquisition:

-- the Scheme was approved by the requisite majority of Scheme Shareholders at the Court Meeting; and

-- the Special Resolution in connection with the implementation of the Scheme was passed by the requisite majority of Crestchic Shareholders at the General Meeting.

I'm a bit surprised that there hasn't been an announcement of the results of the votes at this morning's meetings - although I've not been involved in many bid situations.

Any thoughts?

It's the vote today, I guess there's no counter offer then.

Sure, they just vote the same / in concert with Aggreko

Dont' get too carried away by Samson; the way they work is to make a sure profit albeit a tiny one, from the purchase price to the final payout price post-takeover.

I don’t know, just wondering what their motivation is.

Would that be allowed? I don't know.

Samson now up to 12.67%.

Odd thought, but could Samson be buying on behalf of Aggreko to shore up the vote?

With the vote being imminent any other interested party will need to show their hand soon I would think.

Samson still edging up - now at 11.78%

30/1/23: now at 12.36%%

I suppose it’s a carefully crafted bet. If they rate the chance of an offer 5% above the 401p as better than 1 in 10 then a purchase above 399 stands to gain. Doesn’t factor in the opposite possibility though - that the present offer fails for unforeseen eventualities - which I hope is much less likely.

It appears another arbitrage hedge fund believes a higher bid (ie vs Aggreko's 401p offer) MIGHT be possible.

Here Cigogne Management have apparently built up a 3.4% position alongside Samson's 11.5% holding.

Interesting me thinks.....

Yes I see. Pay point dev to and App, are all these under takeover at the moment?

Surely they wouldn’t go to all that trouble for a couple of pence?

It looks as if they might do, with EMIS for example:
