They stand to make ~£84k (3p per share) having 'risked' just over £11m... Hard to believe that's the only thing they're in it for.

I’m m guessing Samson Rock are not adding for the 2%.

But the clock is ticking.

Samson declared 1.42% on 12/12, that's some accumulation in the past 3 weeks. With the vote set for 6th Feb how likely is it that anything other than the 401p Aggreko del is done?

I've kept hold of mine for now.

>>am just starting to wonder whether there might be a counter bid>>

It seems unlikely, not least because (according to Paul Hill) the synergies are greatest with Aggreko, but Samson Rock are now up to 8.45% so presumably they think there is a possibility.

Edit: Samson now up to 9.92% as of 5/1/23

I thought this was a done deal but am just starting to wonder whether there might be a counter bid. Am sure Aggreko is the logical buyer but just maybe someone might want to spoil the party

We live in hope. This is surely a lowball bid.

Paul Hill notes that a Cayman Islands hedge fund has taken nearly 6% of LOAD and sees the outside chance of a counter bid, perhaps from Ashtead or Schneider Electric:

Is this a result of users going elsewhere?

ADVFN reported results on 5 December

The loss for the financial year after tax amounted to £1,368,000 (2021: a profit of £1,618,000). The Directors are not proposing payment of a dividend

in ~15 months the sh price has multiplied by X4 !!

(if I still held I'd sell now in the mkt & take ~400p/share, but each to their own)

(if shareholders vote to reject the offer then the price 'might' fall back from 400p; or go higher if a competing offer is received....or Aggreko lift their offer to get agreement from other holders of >3%)

"Age of anyone irrelevant; directors act for all shareholders."

good luck on that one !!

on AIM one can not expect "dirs to act for all shareholders"

AIM, it is often like the wild west.
Globo, Cupid.....many cases of dodgy dirs.
recently the previous MD of Morse broke the regs.
he sold his shares.
he did not report it.
he then revealed shocking co. news & the share price imploded.
Will the system punish him ?
I'm not holding my breath, the FCA is famous as lazy & incompetent, for decades.

-------

Mr Harris can of course vote how he wants for his shares. The RNS says he has voted to accepted the offer.
Does he have the option to change & hop to accept any higher offer ?.
I don't know, but it would be normal.

You holders might get a higher offer(s), who knows.

& if less than 75% of the existing shares vote yes then the offer is rejected.

>>so, he is definitely not 68 as you claim.>>

Possibly. I was quoting from which says "Peter Harris, aged 68, qualified as a chartered accountant having studied at Sheffield University ..."
