16/12/2014 16:38 | Sorry Rusty, I think its all the horseless carriages and street lighting that goes to our heads......... | karina
16/12/2014 16:16 | I am deeply hurt by these accusations. They were singles as all you tough "northerners" freaked when you saw the prices whilst you were down here! This is the real world! I was protecting the whip! There is a world beyond the Midlands. We can't subsidise you for ever...... | rusty9717
16/12/2014 14:14 | Lol......nothing wrong with that, in fact I may already have been drinking with him before based on that description! | monkey puzzle
16/12/2014 13:31 | MP - Rusty may offer to buy you a beer, but bet you a quid you end up paying for the taxi and the food.....and he buys singles when all the other rounds are doubles...... ;-) | karina
16/12/2014 09:56 | Rusty, I like the sound of that....... As for the red ticks, expect to see those resume any time soon now you highlighted it....I know that PEM doesn't appreciate my postings elsewhere and he is a bluey so he can red tick me at least, wouldn't be the same not getting at least one on every post I make. | monkey puzzle
16/12/2014 09:53 | Well I will definitely be going as I have a significant holding here. I haven't got the skill or knowledge to trade so is a medium to long term hold here. There is plenty going on in the background here. If you are free pop me a line and I will buy you a pint! Ps. Where are your red ticks? Have you suddenly become popular? | rusty9717
16/12/2014 09:45 | Rusty, Let's just say I'm back again after all those shenanigans previously following the results update which were pretty lack lustre, especially of the back of PFIT's troubles...I did feel the share price would get hammered on that news....but now they are out of the way and we have got rid of that shower at DAN perhaps this will see an improvement in fortunes here. Will be very interesting to see just this latest "investment" turns into next, if it is DAN's old business....well that should really light a fire under these. I doubt I can make the 23rd but let's see..... | monkey puzzle
16/12/2014 09:38 | Morning MP. Still holding here? AGM 23rd December if you fancy it. I'm going as I want to meet Mr Pajak personally. | rusty9717
16/12/2014 09:10 | About time you bought into something decent...-; | monkey puzzle
16/12/2014 09:09 | Can't buy many online again. ? | pembury
15/12/2014 22:15 | Mena is /was nothing but a means for Wilson and O'Shea to misappropriate shareholder funds by Wilson and O'Shea who bought a pub together with the proceeds. MENA is empty and worthless in every sense (there are RNS by DAN that confirm this). Some guys on the DAN bb (Loverat?)understand the goings on better than myself, but I have enough personal experience of my investment in DAN losing value due to the shenanigans of O'Shea and his cronies. It would be nice if I could get out at my break even after five years and a link up with CRV gives me some hope of this being a prospect. However, I would not wish DAN upon anyone | lr4850
15/12/2014 16:07 | Craven House (CRV): The latest recovery attempt comes after a deep bear trap rebound from below 0.3p this month. The favoured scenario is a return to the 0.55p plus 2014 resistance zone over the next 2-4 weeks while the key 0.35p support zone remain in place. At this stage only cautious traders would wait on an end of day close back above the 200 day moving average at 0.45p before going long | karina
15/12/2014 15:27 | DS paid £1.1m for Mena back in 2010 and the owner Adam Wilson holds 8.18% of DS currently suspended shares. As a negotiating position the expression "over a barrel" springs to mind.... | karina
15/12/2014 14:58 | lr- I put today down more to the departure of the short termers buying on Friday, but still its a disappointment for now. Just posted this on LSE I agree TC, I was hoping to see WMs thoughts this weekend, hope he picks up on your request. Like others I have been trying to work out why DS would be a useful investment for CRV, any thoughts on the following? - 1 Daniel Stewart has been building up a private client business since 2009. Typical private clients of firms such as this will be managing £100,000-plus accounts - so a method of bringing investment into CRV and it's portfolio businesses? 2 An injection of capital would bring back the Nomad license allowing Pressfit an immediate re-listing? 3 Its current list of execution venues covers more markets than any other UK stockbroker with a private client business that we’ve seen - markets include South Africa, Brazil, China and Hong Kong. 4 MRL Holdings limited is a 100% owned subsidiary of Daniel Stewart Securities plc. MENA-RL offers a wide range of services derived from proven execution skills in deal origination and conclusions, project management, fund raising and other value added services for our corporate clients. I fancy that this last one may be the answer? | karina
15/12/2014 12:49 | Guessing by the share price action today the market believes it is unwise and they are right. DS - O'Shea is a crook who fraudulently used shareholder funds to buy a pub with his pal Wilson. Even though I am a DAN shareholder unfortunately, It would be better to avoid the sullied reputation of DAN who are incapable of filing accounts on time and of being aware of how much regulatory capital is required - AND THEY WERE NOMADS. The market has put everything together, hence today's drop here. I think CRV are looking at picking up DAN's ex clients and are looking at a deal to do this. It will not come off as O'Shea will believe it is not in his best (personal financial) interest. | lr4850
15/12/2014 12:36 | Does anyone think investing in Daniel Stewart is wise? Investing in anything these days (especially AIM)seems unwise. | nick rubens
14/12/2014 16:20 | From The TimesMeanwhile, Craven House Capital another of the same brokers clients also listed on AIM which describes itself as a "Merchant bank in the 18th and 19th century context of the term", surged 30.7% to 0.405 after confirmation that it was in talks about a possible investment (in Daniel Stewart), whose own shares were suspended in October after a shortfall in its regulatory capital. | karina
12/12/2014 16:14 | After hours announcement likely. | knitcraft
12/12/2014 16:09 | Possibility? | mortimer7 |
